The loadtimes, wow the biggest detractor for every professional review, are almost non-existent. Cutscenes load after 1-3 seconds, and battles start about 3-5 seconds, and its not a black load screen or anything its a rotating camera with a quick one liner from a random character in your party. Honestly I have not seen a single time where I have noticed ever waiting at all for the game to conti...

I actually liked this game a lot and thats saying a lot because I'm a PS3 and Final fantasy fan LOL. Yes it is a very traditional RPG and doesnt introduce anything really new to the genre but the story is amazing (along the lines of Final fantasy) and constantly pulls you back in to continuing this 4 disc game. In the game, you are Kiam who is an immortal for some reason and the game ta...

Lost Odyssey is Sakaguchi’s second title for the Xbox 360. RPG enthusiasts yearning for a more mature title than Blue Dragon may just be in for a treat. The main character is Kaim, an immortal mercenary who doesn't remember much of his thousand-year life. At first he seems like a typical video-game tough guy, but as he regains his memories he evolves into a more sympathetic, tragic charact...

You know why Famitsu gave it 9's and 10's out of 10? Because it is a great game. In fact, it is the best JRPG I have played since FFVII. If you dont like turn-based games, then this is the game most likely to make you like it! There is not a better-looking JRPG around, especially a turn based one! If you compare it to the gameplay graphics of FFXIII (only a few seconds of the demos are of...

With the death of Final Fantasy as I knew and loved it, I was left with an empty void for my JRPG needs. Thankfully Mistwalker still embraces and recognizes that there is still a market for JRPG's. Unfortunately to date they have yet to come up with a game that is anywhere near the level of what Final Fantasy used to be; or currently is for that matter. Lost Odyssey follows an immortal n...

Lost Odyssey was described as Hironobu Sakaguchi's masterpiece and now that it's here is it safe to say that it is? Yes it is within certain bounds. Lost Odyssey is somewhat of a mixed bag. While the story is certainly a masterpiece is every way the game is riddled with little technical glitches. However I will say this before we go on that those little problems should not stop you from pl...

I know this game came out a while ago. However this is a game I've always wanted to review. Ive played it for 70 hours or so, so I know what this games about. Many people criticize this game mostly ps3 fanboys who've never even played in but here's my honest unbiased review on the xbox 360 exclusive jrpg - Lost odyssey Story -- Hands down one of the best stories in jrpg history. In t...

Honestly, the souls of most RPGs tend to be dead. Many of us harken back to the SNES era and think about how well the game simply felt. You got attached to the characters, you loved learning the little niches of the game, and the story was captivating enough for you to play for hours on end just to find out what happens next. Yes, there have been a few exceptions to that such as Grandia II, Fin...

The influx of Western RPGs in this generation of gaming has perhaps been a little worrying for those with a taste for the Japanese style of game, and so as we (possibly) near the end of this cycle of consoles how well does one of the earlier and least-talked about JRPGs of this gen hold up on the rather lightly-filled canvas of Japanese role-playing games? Is it just another attempt by Hironobu...
