Story: This story takes a new and interesting direction. It very heavily builds on the ending of Killzone 2. The ISA forces are stranded on Helghan fighting for survival while a power struggle ensures in the Helghast leadership after the death of Scolar Visari. The characters are well done and the talent from professional actors can really be seen. The desperate situation in combination with the frustration of an ineffective commander the ISA are in is perfectly executed. The biggest disappointment with the story is the ending. It felt a bit rushed. It feels as if there was something else but had to be cut out.
Gameplay: Killzone has improved the gameplay from Killzone 2. The old heavy feel has gone (I liked this anyway) for a much more fluid movement. The amount of weapons has increased to three in stead of two. This is good because having a heavy Machine gun and a rifle is helpful for the heavy combat moments. I haven't noticed an increase in quality in enemy AI. The still take cover and fire down effectively. I have found that snipers tend to stand out in the open much more than other troop types. The brutal melee is a welcome addition to the gameplay. The motion controls are smooth but yet again it is not a game changer
Graphics: Stunning is the only word needed to describe the grpahics in this game. It gives off a gritty war like feel which seems to be missing in other FPS. The different terrians are gorgeous
Online: Good. Nothing really much to say here. I though Killzone 2 online was great and Killzone 3 is the same. The class system is great and I am not usually a fan of this type of system. The maps are perfectly designed and are a lot of fun to play
Conclusion: This game is fantastic and a must own for PS3 users. The only real downside is the ending being a bit rushed. Guerrilla games has perfected gameplay but still needs to work on its ending. This ending is the only thing that was disappointing about the game
