I am not necessarily referring to the actual story of the game itself though as much as its transition up to its release. Pandemic Studios, the company most notably known for titles such as Mercenaries and Battlefront series, are at the helm of this latest open-world extravaganza. This is also their last game they will ever create as the team was released before it even hit shelves. Still once you sit down with the game you will quickly discover that underneath its rough exterior is a game that is chock full of fresh and entertaining ideas, and will reward anyone with enough patience to get past its shortcomings.

FF13 Surprise is NOT Demo, Square Confirms

Square Enix PR rep Sonia Im set the internet ablase with talk of an FF13 demo by teasing for "something cool most of you can participate in a few days from now" over Twitter.

After much speculation across the net, Sonia has confirmed - again via her Twitter - that a demo is not the upcoming surprise.

Here's her tweet confirming it: "Think it's best if I set expectations for my #FFXIII tweet. It is NOT a demo. But it's cool regardless! So please don't be too disappointed"

UFFSite also confirmed this information with Square Enix PR reps, who told us that "the memo in question contains no mention of a demo."

Warner Bros. to Publish Batman: Arkham Asylum Sequel Worldwide

Following the unveiling of RockSteady's sequel to the incredibly successful Batman: Arkham Asylum this weekend, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has today announced that it will be the worldwide publisher of the as yet untitled sequel. Batman: Arkham Asylum is one of 2009's most highly rated and top-selling video games, and was published by Eidos Interactive. The sequel is currently in development with Rocksteady Studios and remains based on DC Comics' core Batman property.

"Overall though, first impressions are favourable. In an industry where the 30FPS is effectively the standard, it's refreshing to see Visceral Games sustain 60FPS so impressively, especially in a cross-platform project. Yes, Dante's Inferno will also appear on Xbox 360, but the corresponding demo won't be appearing on Xbox Live until Christmas Eve, when we'll all be on holiday. If we can sneak a look at the 360 demo during the festivities, we'll see about updating the DF Twitter feed with our thoughts."

Rock Band DLC Releases (Week Beginning Dec. 14th)

Harmonix and MTV Games has announced that a three pack of songs from Green Day, as well as tracks from 30 Seconds to Mars and All-American Rejects, will be added to the Rock Band Music Store of Downloadable Content (DLC) for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii this week. These artists are some of the more than 390 bands currently available through the Rock Band platform.
