Unlike the similar titles of yesteryear, however, the studio has the technology muscle of 2009 to back it up. The studio was actually formed back in 1994, when founder Doc Mack had ambitions to make a game in the same vein as Dark Presence, but the team felt the video quality and technology wasn't up to par with what they wanted.

OXCGN Reviews Battlefield:1943- Does it raise the XBLA Bar?

OXCGN Writes: "Many in today's gaming scene complain about spending their money on games which just don't deliver, especially in the Xbox Live Arcade category.

Spending 1200 MSP (Microsoft Points) on a downloadable game which offers only a few hours of gameplay and no replayability or 1600 MSP on a game which offers less just seems like a waste when you could use it on a full release AAA title.

The problem with Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) games is that they are a real hit & miss proposition and it really is a shame that many don't get the recognition they deserve. Every month now, it seems like we get another two or three. They have certainly supplanted RPG's as the most prolific gaming genre as the industry has gone more mainstream, especially in this decade. Games like Halo, Half-Life, Call of Duty, and many other wannabe greats have made their stake in the industry. However, many of them released today have a problem that seems to be growing and for the life of me, I cannot understand why. This is what I call the "silent protagonist syndrome". "

Brains Brains Brains- Part 1 of 2: Zombies in Video Games

Zombie Zombie Zombies Ate My Neighbors because they are an Evil Dead Zombie Nation of Horror Zombies from the Crypt who live Alone in the Dark waiting to get their Zombie Revenge on none other then myself via Flesh Feast (3D I might add). The player's previous encounters have been some of the most classic matches in the competitive Street Fighter world. Daigo took the first game, where Justin played as Abel, but Justin started to dominate when he switched over to Balrog (Boxer). Since Justin was coming from the losers bracket, after being put there by Daigo earlier in the the tournament, he win two sets of first to 3. He won the first set, and took the second set all the way to the final game, but Daigo's used Ryu to dissect Justin's style, and closed out the tournament. The match represents the battle between North America, with Justin Wong, and their attempt to dethrone Japan from their longstanding domination of the fighting game scene.
Congradulations Daigo!

100 ugly gaming-covers

Remember the good old and very ugly Mega Man 2-Cover? The company will drop it's almost fifty year old name, and continue operations under a Warner Bros. moniker effective Monday July 13th, 2009. It is likely they will be operating now under the Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment moniker, but I haven't heard that officially yet. Development of Mortal Kombat 9 should be unchanged but will just continue under the new company name. I'd also expect to see re-releases of any of intellectual property purchased by Warner Brothers earlier this month without the Midway name attached to it."
