2.3 - U cant run it in 1080

I had my ps3 on 1080p and my tv supports it and the game will run it, but it will look blury as hell. Set youre ps3 (Dont know about 360) to run it in 720p and it will look good. I think it will look ok if u run it on a sdtv, but it looks best on 720p.

So as i said it can run in 1080 but it will look worse than on a sdtv..

I had read one IGN that the game looks blurry on 1080i.Set your tv to 720p and it should look good.I dont know about SD tvs though =/.

You can turn off the blur filter by editing the .INI files in the PC version. The blur filter is there apparently to help get rid of aliasing, as the way UE3 is built, anti-aliasing cannot be done in DX9 with deferred lighting.

7 - Why vegas again?

I love the first one, but couldn't they have changed the setting? A fresh game in a whole new location would have been better imo. Rainbow Six nyc or tokyo would have been sweet.

If you think r6v had last gen graphics you need to go back and play some ps2 or xbox games to remind you what last gen looked like.

Yea r6v didn't look as good as gears uncharted or cod4 but calling the visuals last gen is stupid.

One of the developers did mention they will have co-op. Hopefully both online and offline splitscreen mode.

9.3 - yea it has co-op

first game ive seen with 4 player co-op and campaign is decent but some levels take only 3-5 minutese to complete which sucks. the co-op can also be played to eliminate terrorists [bots] on various maps.

10 - Hey...

After seeing a game like Killzone 2 that has around 500 dynamic lights in a level....seeing a game like ranbow six vegas, or any other shooter for that matter....makes me wanna puke.

When will game developers understand that light makes the scene?

With a city like Vegas and all those damn lights.....I would put much focus on creating an engine that can handle lots of dynamic lights....and global illumination.

Now THAT would make a game like R6: vegas sooooooo amazingly gorgeous.

Light is so critical to setting the mood....every scene in Rainbow Six looks so bland....I wanna cry!

Why do they have to make their shooter look so glowy / fuzzy / soft?

Vegas is full of harsh, BRIGHT lights, GLARING, FLASHING banners and bulbs and signs meant to GRAB your attention....not sit there and look pretty and glowy / nightlight-ish....

I wonder if the 360 can handle deferred rendering....I think I'm going to research that.

ANyways, enough of my b!tching.

11 - hmm....ok

look like as of the unreal engine 3, the 360 can perform deferred rendering.

So, I think we should see some deferred shading to accelerate the dynamic lighting in R6 V2!

Maybe we can see a little more realistic approach to the lighting after all!
