call of duty pays homage to lots of war movies. So he's more than likely based on this guy from "Tears of The Sun" 2003. Who is more than likely what Sev was based on as well.

i think they should have used the "huge budget" activision said they could have but they declined. atleast then there might have been a longer single player.

i'm gonna wait this one out, see what the overall perception is, maybe rent, probably won't buy though, even then if i do buy i reckon i'll buy it on the p.c as the ps3 version in my opinion doesn't look as good as it should

It took IW 6 Weeks to patch the PS 3 Version. The online part of CoD4 was broken. It took them more than two months to patch the EU-version of CoD4. I won't buy another map pack for CoD 4.

How in the hell did the first one set FPS standards? It took everything good about FPS' and crapped all over it. Lets make a game with auto aim and horrible generic gunplay and make it so little kids around the world can even play without issues. These games are horrible. Just keep supporting these pieces of crap and that way games won't progress and we can all play in the past instead of reaching and pushing for the technology of today and tomorrow. I seriously hate how stupid the majority of gamers are.

They will keep MW2 simple in a sense. You see, things like recoil and weight to the player make it all too realistic so they don't bother with them. After all it is a twitch shooter for pre teens and frat boys.

Well then, it's obvious you've not read the article now isn't it?

The issues can't simply just be 'fixed' like glitches.

- Short campaign
- No multi-player Campaign
- Overly complex online
- Old engine

Please tell me of a solution that doesn't require money out of our pockets for some DLC.

I'll tell you what Ziriux - I get that way - I'm 38 yrs old and love playing video games - I've been a fan of the Call of Duty series since th begining and I honestly get this way at times. I'll be up until the early hours play a game, then force myself to go to bed to try to avoid being tired all the next day. But most times when I get in bed I stare at the ceiling thinking about the game.

Wow i'm 39 years and i hv career, ex-wife, a live in girl friend, no kids (thank god), a v8 6.0 car and a cat. I m hyped up for MW2 bundle which im' gonna pick up once it comes to my region. The other 360 is in it coffin waiting for UPS guys to take it bak to MS. But i dont lose sleep over a game, although got excited when I bought the new plasma.

Co-Op and Full Campaign Mode -
It includes a pretty diverse and engaging Co-op. Hardly anything to complain about here.

Old Engine -
I'm 99% sure that MW2 is on a new engine.

I'm 99% sure you are incorrect. Modern Warfare 2 still runs at 1024x600 with 2xAA on both the PS3 and 360, just like Call of Duty 4 and World at War did. That said, I'm sure many people will enjoy this game for months, despite the technical presentation not matching other games like Gears of War 2, Killzone 2, and Uncharted 2.

Another fluff article with no substance gets approved on N4G. All of these issues have been brought up, with better writing I may add, in numerous other articles. Why do people keep submitting and approving this garbage?

The people approving these articles really need to sit back and read the content on N4G. If they had, they'd realize there are 234872389157 articles about MW2 stating these potential issues.

The Joke game of this gen. Over-hyped sh*t. Just finished it bloody the stupidest Warfare ever experienced. I can create a Quake 3 arena mod with bots to look like this dumb A.I. If i had a production house i could do better with insane action scenes. Bullshi**

Seriously, there are some on here complaining about some of the aspects of COD who are obviously huge KZ2 fans and please, delay/laggy controls do not make for a more realistic game.'
