Next year I expect TLG and HR to be in my top 5 taking out 2 current games. Actually a top 5 may be too difficult by next years end. A top 10 withwill prove daunting with GT5, GoW3, White knight Chronicles, FF13 and others coming out. Next year will put the supposed great year 2007 was to shame. Hah, that GT list of greatest gaming years was about as bad as IGN's best consoles of all time list.

It still pains me though how that game was overlooked by the majority of PS fans. It is super pain that VC2 is not on the PS3 because of it.

VC is the sh1t. One of the best games i played in my 25 years of gaming. A completely underated and overlooked gem.

1) Batman: Arkham Asylum
2) Dragon Age: Origins (really, REALLY good)
3) Prince of Persia (love it's style)
4) Fallout 3 (despite it being a bug-ridden mess thanks to the DLC, it's still an impressive game)
5) Assassin's Creed (as stated in another thread, despite it's repetitiveness, i just really love the level of detail in the world, and the combat. i expect great things from part 2).

this has been a very impressive generation of games so far. i expect the remainder of the generation to be rather spectacular.

For the sake of not stirring sh!t up with fanboys of the other console, the writer has made sure of having pretty much the same number of multiplats, while keeping the (numerous) PS3 exclusives at bay.

Games like Yakuza Kenzan!, Africa, Aquanaut's holiday, High Velocity Bowling, Siren, Burn Zombie Burn, Super Rub a dub, Zen Pinball (yes, there's one available on the 360, but it's just 1, very different table, the PS3 has 4, much much better tables), and many more deserved a spot on that list. More so than stuff like Riddick or that huge array of shooters. As such, it simply fails to represent the variety of the PS3 games library and, again, fools the viewer into thinking that the PS3 library is as limited to FPS/TPS games as the 360's library is.
Heck, even Haze and Lair deserved to be there more than garbage multiplats like Lost Planet.

And by the way, since the other list mentioned games which were not released, and we know very little about, why not do the same with this list? Why not mention God of war III, Heavy Rain, or Dead Nation?

Not to mention that the pics are exactly the sames as the ones used for the 360's list, including Castlevania symphony of the night and its stupid frame, when it doesn't have any on the PS3. Besides, if we are to mention Castlevania SOTN, why not mention all the other great PS1 games available on the stores? After all, they're PS3 exclusives like Castlevania, right? Then, where are Suikoden, Final Fantasy VII, the Crash games, Rayman 1, and all the others?

We also could have done with a little concise text for each one to explain why the game is listed.

This list fails on so many levels.
