have to slow down the alan wake haters. i know nothing about the game.. doesnt matter if your a ps3 or 360 owners.. little is known

but visually i can see a direction worth giving it the same anticipation for more info like we are with heavy rain.. the difference being not only that heavy rain is dropping some info, but that we have indigo prophecy to go by as far as story goes..

hopefully heavy rain and alan wake will elevate gaming period.. i'm kind of tired of lazy developers/writers and publishers

does anyone else feel a sense of Shenmue too? as far as open world, exploring etc.. before heavy rain and indigo prophecy.. no other games have come to this since shenmue

i have downloaded it and i must say This Graphics are 3eyond Gorgeous.
If i havent seen it, that this hole Graphics were IN-Game(Gameplay), than i would say that this is CG.

Another killer ap for the PlayStation 3. I thought 2008 was the year of the PS3 with LBP, R2, and MGS4, but with Killzone 2, God of War 3, Wardevil, White Knight Cronicles, Heavy Rain and possibly GT5 coming in 2009, I think 2009 rapes 2008.

finally get to see actual gameplay! so this is what has gotten a lot of game journalists excited.. can't blame them, game looks pretty as hell. i LOVE the animations. realism like this just really impresses me. cant wait to play through the whole game with my jaw on the floor.

btw, imagine a Silent Hill game with this graphics engine...

The graphics in this game look amazing. I don't know about the gameplay though need to see more. I didn't like how long it took to roll the barrel, but the movement, animations, and everything else looks spot on. Just refine the gameplay and I'm sure the PS3 has another hit.

I said it before and I'll say it again...Gamekyo have the absolute WORST video streaming process I have ever seen.
I don't think there has been ONE video from them that I could watch instantly. It's always a fcking 30 minute process.

I'm french and so I could understand what he was explaining. I'm sure you all noticed now the real time movement of the character, thus proving that you are in control of it for most of the time. There are very few cut scenes (ie: when she speaks in the recorder for example) and if they are they are in real time too.
He also confirmed that all objects in the house for example are interactive.
It definitely is a game set apart from anything so far (comparisons with dragon lair etc... are completely irrelevant) apart from the previous opus from Quantic dreams. This is really next gen and it surely is a great way to kick off 2009 (well maybe towards the end)

Sadly, I'm sure a lot of fanboys will either:

1. Compare it to Alan Wake and claim it will fail
2. Pull a Killzone 2 and say "OMG! DOSE GRAFIX BE FAKE!"
3. Pull a Killzone 2 and say "OMG! DIS GAME GOTS NUTHIN BUT GRAFIX! LOL!"

For me, I am very excited for this game. Quantic Dream said that they want to bring storytelling to a whole new level, and I can't wait. IMO, the best games of this generation have been the games that had excellent storylines and presentations (for example: Mass Effect, CoD4, Fallout 3, MGS4, Bioshock, Uncharted, Half Life 2, Dead Space).

You gotta laugh at all those clowns (they know who they are) who said this was all cutscene and not interactice. Ha, not only is it interactive, but on an unprecidented level. You can move every object and open every door, (although I assume some will be locked at first,)

Hell some even claimed it was all CGI. HAHA, You couldnt give a bigger compiment than that I reckon.

This will be the only game that matters to me after KZII, during my busy schedule.

Who else is ready for something refreshing in terms of gameplay? And to boot, these visuals could encase us inside of immersion not felt since Silent Hill 2/Bioshock. (imoho)

So, from what the guys said.. What we've seen has nothing to do with the real game... The people, the story, the scenes, nothing is in the real game. The demo however, is running on the engine, running on a PS3, in real-time and FULLY playable.

Looks very promising.

Wish that guy speaking french would shut up just a lil bit. It was hard to hear the game but what I liked about the game was the mood. The music and the camera angles made quite an environment. I want to play this demo.

i finally sat down and watched the video, and even though the quality was terrible, you could see the amount of work put into the animations, atmosphere, and overall tension of the demo. you CAN tell that the game has impressive graphics, but i'd love to see this video uploaded to the PSN, so i can watch in on my HD set. better yet, upload the damn DEMO on the PSN, and let us give it a try for ourselves.

i could totally see that this game was made by the Indigo Prophecy team, as moments gave off an IP vibe.

i'm hoping, more like PRAYING that games like Heavy Rain and Alan Wake do well, because the adventure genre is one of my favorites, and is woefully underrepresented in this FPS obsessed gaming society. they have a tough job ahead of them, but i think demos would do a lot to sell BOTH Heavy Rain AND Alan Wake. most people will try a demo, and a lot of games have been sold on the demo alone (i never would have bought Pixel Junk Monsters or Eden had it not been for the demo, and quite a few others, ie, EndWar. i wasn't sure about that one, but the demo sold me on it).

i didn't expect to actually be wowed by the presentation, but it was the little details in the way the character moved and interacted with the world that sold me.

it's like Uncharted times 100 in terms of the fluidity of the in game character movement, and animation transitions. and to think that this game is still a year off really excites me for what the finished product will be.

Hopefully this will be as good as it looks. Cage couldn't finish Fahrenheit properly with the most basic of graphics so I'm skeptical but this defo has the potential to be a killer app. Seems at last people trying to use the PS3's power, taken long enough, hope it's not 2 late
