This game is more than fantastic. It's the killer-app for the PS3. Sony have again chosen the right people to showcase the POWER of the PLAYSTATION3™. And the guy who wrote for it is called David Cage, again, such an awesome name.

- In this demo, the player takes the role of a young journalist who is investigating on several girls' disappearances, she goes to a house of a former taxi driver who is suspected of killing these women. In this presentation, the Producer of the game shows 2 different ways to finish this demo, there are lots of different ways to get through the story.

- Multiple view camera system, not always behind the girl.

- The demo is fully playable, no cut-scenes, the player can control the girl at any time.

- The Sixaxis motion sensor is used in the game to make different moves (open a window, raise or hit on an object, etc.).

- It is possible to hear what is happening in the mind of the character, so the player knows the different choices that are available.

- No loadings in the game!

- Backgrounds are fully interactive (all objects can be used, all doors can be opened, etc.).

- Very interesting Split Screen System to keep an eye on the murderer, control the character at the same time.

- The player has to maintain several buttons to stay hidden, uncomfortable situation for the player to reproduce the same stress in the game.

- Quick time events for some action scenes.

Really interesting use of the SixAxis motion controls...

^-^ So far looks interesting. I loved Quantic Dreams "Fahrenheit"/"I ndigo Prophecy", so I'm pretty sure I'm going to like this game as well... (Just as long as they don't add "Matrix"-like elements to the game.)

I think almost everything was great about Fahrenheit beside the stupid ending. Who the hell did write the last part? I don't want to spoil anything but the clarification why all this happened at the end is just sh*t. The Demo of Heavy Rain is really breathtaking

1.6 - It looks incredible
The in game visuals are the best I have seen in any game but that can only go so far. Once I saw how the gameplay is then I was really interested in everything this game seems to offer. The part where you are trying to escape without the killer noticing you in the house was a great touch. I also love games where you can interact with your environment. This game gets more impressive everytime I see it. It has a lot of potential. 09 is going to be an even better year for gamers.

I have to say although i spend more time on my xbox than ps3 this looks fantastic and once it gets loaded into my ps3 the 360 will remain untouched for a while.. Just my type of game. This rises to the top of my most wanted next year followed by Alan Wake. Damn this is going to be good.

i have to download this the load time is rediculous i think everyone in the free world is trying to watch this.

i'll say it again..

every person with the ability to play a ps2 and/or xbox game needs to go play indigo prophecy (Fahrenheit) (and excuse the early control/camera issues)

one of the best games in gaming ever... truly raising the bar..

i can only hope (but doubt) that sony has some of its developers working with quantic not only to help with ps3 development but to learn.. aside from insomniac and a few others.. quantic is going to school some ps3 developers..

Look at that PoG/other haters of this game - you were WRONG about it being a pre-rendered FMV with QTEs. You can move around, freely explore and interact with the environment - like I said before after reading the info about the control scheme.

I'd have to see it in HD to judge the graphics. I'm sceptical about the control scheme they've chosen but we'll see in due course if it's good.

Gameplay looks just as I expected and if the plot is as "bendable" as I'm hoping then it's sure to be on my list of must-buys for 2009.

If they had actually READ what was said instead of JUST looking at the video, they'd know QTE is only a small part of this game. You can move around, fight, and etc just like any other game.

I'll even add one more name to your list thor. Omega. He kept saying the game is "only qte" as well.

Heavy Rain has small indoor areas you can move through. If the control scheme is right, this means they've succeeded where many games have failed. Most 3rd person games tend to open up the indoor environments and make them bigger than they should be just to accomodate the camera. FFX is a good example of when they opened up the environments to account for the 3D world. Compare with FF7-9 and you'll see what I mean. FFX-2's silly catacombs or whatever they were called (I really hated that game, there were items that gave you max damage I think, there wasn't a proper story which completely ruined it) were ridiculous in their scale and repetitiveness. Why make them that big and open? Answer - the camera and control scheme.

21 - Intense...Really Intense...
The situation and the atmosphere in the game is incredibly intense. You know what's going to happen next, but the anticipation that leads up to that moment is just incredible.

The split-camera system too adds a whole extra level of intensity, since you know where the killer is as well as the playable character...

as title says im a 36 gamer,i think the 360 has the majority of better games,BUT and this is a big BUT

some of the gameso n the ps3 are looking amazing,better than the 360
this is one of them,gonna be getting a ps3 just for this once price has dropped,dont get me wrong, i prefer the 360,but games liek this and killzone too look ace.
