Prince of Persia producer talks SixAxis, Graphic Style and more

A German site has posted a short video interview with the producer of the new Prince of Persia. The questions are in German, but you can read the translation below.

Questions:

1. The game is being developed by the same team which made Assassin's Creed. Has this any effects for PoP? Will it have, for example, free accessible World ore Time Travel Features?

2. In the announcement of PoP they talked about a complety new graphic style and a modernization of the game itself.
This sounds good. Can you tell us more about this?

3. Is the Story of the game connected to the Sands of Time trilogy or even the first three PoP games?

4. In the PS3 Version of the game you could add SixAxis Parts like the balancing on a rope.

Please tell us, that the prince will climb higher and more audacious than before.

2 - The more i read or hear
About Prince of Persia: Heir Apparent the more and more i like what i'm hearing/seeing. There's something that's making it different from Assassins Creed and making sure it is it's own game. I can't wait to see some gameplay footage to see how acrobatic the new prince is. He was awesome in Two Thrones and in the interview he said he's faster and more agile.

When ever a gameplay appear on the net my final judgment will be set. Until now I don't like the idea of the cel shading.

4 - Not sure I care for the art direction
I was hoping for a game that would be set in the PoP world but using the graphics that were found in AC. I just thought it would be cool to have a more realistic game than the style graphics they went with.

I think they're doing this because now they do have Assassins Creed, and they didn't want two eerily similar games. Perhaps this gen will go Assassins Creed, PoP, AC2, PoP 2, followed by the final chapter of both. Then next gen they'll pull out some comment like there's many different stories to tell in the Assassins Creed universe and we'll see something different there. Lol...

Honestly I don't know what to think. On one had I want to be excited about PoP but on the other Warrior Within was such a letdown to me that I haven't touched the series since. I think when more is finally shown I'll be excited.

Well I think the cell shaded art style is a good path to follow. There's already a bunch of games aiming for realism, cell shaded is so underused. Look at team fortress 2, they did it and it is a success. I'm just worried about gameplay and storyline.

They better have taken notes from the downside of Assassin's Creed. The last half of the game, I was playing the game just to beat it once and for all and not even having fun.
