New Videos of Resident Evil 4 Classic Edition? Or April Fool Joke?

Sketchy details emerged early last week about the possibility of yet another version of Resident Evil 4 being readied for the marketplace. Following the success of the game on the GameCube, PlayStation 2, PC and Wii, if the source was to be believed then there is yet another iteration in the works for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, called 'Resident Evil 4: Classic Edition'. But is this truth or nothing more than an elaborate April Fools' joke?

Dont forget though. RE4 came out on PC. This could be a hack...

But the 08 trade mark and classic camera are pointing towards true.
Also on a side note. When Hunk picked up the item in the video it had the GC's A button pop up... This is prolly a hack...

sorry pwnsause to ruin it to you but you know there is a mod for both PC and GC version to change the buttons to Xbox ones? I mean its in the same thread as the videos were posted same as how the youtube account of the guy posting was FULL with tutorials on how to replace character textures in the game among others

is there a mod to change the camera to classic view, i dont think so, plus the PC version doesnt have a menu like that. plus you can TM that without permission, they would get sued then.

Dude WHAT classic camera? have you ever played a RE title before to know what the RE classic camera looks like? (are you quoting the hoax guy when he randomly said that VERY later on the thread? after being question oh WTF those "classic Edition" has to do with anything) I think you should look around the site I gave you to find just how much of the PC and GC version you can change...and no I don't see no one suing no one or calling it the secret "Classic Edition"

and to add even more to it this guy has already attempted to this but before it was the "ZOMG the secret game I found in the beta version of RE4"

but hey if you are one of those people that WANT to believe (like the people getting angry in the website the more evidence it was posted it was fake)...be my guest this hoax (like this guys last years hoax around this same date) wouldn't work with out people that want to believe regardless of the evidence presented

but if you are not one of those person just read the thread see how much the guy tripped over his lies and evaded questions or changed the subject when faced with evidence including the fact that he has already done this before

Capcom have made some pretty decent games far better than EA have churned out in the last few years thats for sure, when is the last time anyone ran around saying WOW check out this awesome EA game? Never.

Now say Res Evil 4, Dead Rising, Lost Planet (360 version) and you raise a few eyebrows in interest especially in the Res Evil 4 game.

Capcom could make a ton of money with a re-release for the 360 I know I would definently buy it and play it over!

this is more than likely a PC hack for resident evil 4.
However, I'd love for it to be real, Although, I had more than enough fun with wii version of that game.

Its the only wii game I think where playing with the wiimote Is so much better, I'd simply rather not play with a standard controller.

I want to believe this is real, but around this time of the year anything can just be some elaborate joke. RE4 is a good, if not great game, and I would pick it up if it came out on 360, but I'm not getting my hopes up over this. It could be real, it's probably fake, we'll have to all wait and see.

The guy already seems to know how to hack the PC version, so chances are much more in favor to this being a hoax then reality. Sad but true.

It's a hack.

I have the PC version.

The visuals are MUCH better than any other version, but the cut scenes suffered a terrible fate. They look like CRAP! They look a lot worse than the actual gameplay, which is weird. Also, you can't use the mouse for RE4 on the PC.

I just use my sixaxis.

The worst thing about the older games, and dmc included was the horrible annoying camera view. Why in the hell would you go backwards taking away a huge element of what made RE4 so innovational, and great. Practically every 3rd person adventure shooter game uses that view now, and for good reason. I can understand some people find this nostalgic, but move on people. Times change for the better sometimes. RE4 was practically perfect upon release, and the only addition that should have been added was being able to move the character while shooting, but other than that leave it alone already.

and their is a part of me that wants capcom to continue RE4's camera stile.

both camera stiles had a great impact on how scary things appeared in both games.

I Loved Resident Evil 4 on the GameCube. I own the Wii version but it's hard for me to look at the low resolution graphics on my 1080p Samsung LCD. I'd pay $39.95 for a High Res version that ran at 60 fps.

Capcom is known for rehashing they try to bring out every game they have on every system sometimes its just for profit and sometimes it is worth it.

they brought out a enhanced version of resident evil 2 and 3 for dreamcast and they brought out code veronica for ps2.

they also brought code veronica for gamecube in addition to resident evil 2 and 3.

then they brought out resident evil 4 for ps2 and the pc.

I am surprised they didn't bring out resident evil zero and the remake to ps2 unless they did and i just dont know.

They are bringing out resident evil zero for the wii though and they also have resident evil 4 for the wii.

its just with resident evil though they do it with a lot of their games.

resident evil 4 on ps3 and xbox 360 would be worth it if they actually took the time to add further detail and texture to all the character models.

RE4 with Original Resident Evil camera. Thats amazing. I would love that. I am just....wondering that it might be a joke of some sort. Someone hacked in the the GAMECUBE or PS2 version and changing stuff and all..
