I know some below this post are claiming it's really footage of the PC game.

But remember, PC doesn't have pretige mode, yet we clearly see pretige mode icons in this video. Also, notice the X and O and Start and Select button icons that appear throughout the video.

From what I've read on the forum where this was first revealed, this is a PS3 only hack, which somehow employs an external HDD. Colored names were fairly rare, and that was easy to do, even if this is released the fact that it requires additional hardware would hopefully keep it somewhat in check. "pHaez" (his PSN name, according to him) who made this has indicated that he will not release it to the public. However, I suspect he may have friends who he would leak it to, who may again leak it, and then all of a sudden it's public.

Hopefully Sony/IW will make efforts to patch/fix any hacking issues that arise, and also enforce the PSN user agreement which allows them to dicipline hackers.

NOTHING can be hack proof forever people. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. And when hackers announce they have a hack, it's usually a finished hack they're declaring; which means they've been hacking in for ages trying test the hack during creation.

software can be hacked - especially the packets - for this to work it obviously has to go through a proxy server that is analyzing the packets. AKA IW will add more encryption with the new patch to break this hack.
but the PS3 itself has held up well against hackers (aka the hardware)

When the game is installed on your ps3's open hard drive. that hard drive can be plugged into your computer and accessed. Once accessed the modder can change/add game files to make for example "an ammo clip of a gun unlimited" or create "auto aim bots" or "make the enemy team glow a bright blue".

The 360 does not have to worry about this since you cannot install the games to the locked down hard drive, or modify the game contents on the disk itself since it is "read only".

Welcome to the world of pc game hacks ps3 owners... now you know why microsoft locked it down on their system.. can't blame sony though, its not like they have much experience in this sort of thing. I am sure once it becomes more popular, there will not be a game left unaffected by these exploits.. on the ps3..

Thats what the video is about, so... it has everything to do with the PS3. The quote was from you Sony fans, under the "assumtion" that the PS3 can't be hacked.

the people you're talking about are low ranked players (level 15 and below)
they just created a newpsn id and knifed enemies instead of shooting to get those crazy accuracy levels... quite easy, no hack involved...

Yes i noticed the same sh*t. This person had 2million kills and only 25 thousand deaths haha i was like whaaaaat thats gatta be a hack cuz the ratio was 82.20 there is no possible way for somebody to do that in cod4 no way. If you dont beleive me or minimii just check the stats on cod4 the top 10 people. Its totally been hacked for a while now

Actually, i was writing my post as you posted yours so no, i didn't get the chance to read it. And don't call me a kid, i'm far from it. And if you would have read what i wrote, you would have noticed that I never said it wasn't possible. All i was stating was that there was some differences on screen from what i've experienced from day one. But i've never really checked out the boards (don't really care to) but if you say there's a lot of impossibilities with the stats then perhaps their servers get hacked? Might that be one other possiblity?
