PT, the PlayStation 4’s demo for the upcoming Silent Hill game first revealed at Gamescom, has been downloaded over a million times, Sony revealed at its pre-TGS press conference.
The sirens are sounding again, beckoning you back to the foggy ghost town as we rank all the Silent Hill games, from the chilling classics to the misguided missteps.
I mostly disagree with Downpour's position. Yeah, the game is not amazing by any stretch of the imagination but is much better than the HD Collection and Homecoming. The main issue is the performance, but that was mitigated by the patches, especially on the PS3. Personally, I put it a little behind Origins and The Room.
Having Restless Dreams as a different entry from Silent Hill 2 is also a choice.
Normally, we would not consider it a different game (Restless Dreams), but since it had a very different critical reception and had new content, it was allowed. As for Downpour, I would agree, but since that one is subjective, we let him make his case for the placement.
silent hill 2 is definitely the best one out of those.
for me personally, the whole ritual/cult stuff was always so weird to me in all the other games.
No disrespect but I put SH2 over 1. 1 is fantastic, but 2 took it all up a level.

Streamer and dataminer Lance McDonald has managed to get the game working on a non-jailbroken PS5 console.
Essentially, a legitimate copy of P.T. is required as well as an active PSN account on both a jailbroken PS5 and a normal, fully updated PS5. The emulator is then transferred from one to the other."
Hopefully the October 19 Silent Hill announcement makes it so that I don’t need to fret with eBay and all of this emulator nonsense to enjoy a 10 minutes demo for Halloween….
How does Konami not appreciate how much they spite their face when they tarnish Kojima’a legacy?
While we'll surely get several SH projects in the coming years, expecting anything related to P.T. is setting yourself up for dissapointment. Sadly.

Still one of the scariest gaming experiences I've ever played, and it was only a demo. Might even be the scariest.
I can't seem to part with my old PS4 because this is installed! It's freaky as hell, even now.

Thats a bit strange considering you can download it from torrent sites and install on a ps4 , its pretty easy to get the demo.
Visage was a great game though. Got a little weak towards the last chapter, but the first 2 chapters were particularly amazing. I'm glad we got at least one game that utilized the potential of the PT Demo.
I heard that Madison game was great too.. plus hopefully we will still see the release of Allison Road.
Oh, absolutely. Many supernatural indie horror games that released in the past 7 years wouldn't exist without P.T.
I even question if you'd have games like Phasmophobia, as P.T. kind of let devs know that the broader gaming community was receptive to slow-paced, atmospheric horror and enjoyed sharing that experience (for P.T., it was over YouTube/Twitch).

A great game demo. The demo didn't scare me while playing but it definitely had a creep factor. The part I thought was somewhat creepy was the radio broadcaster reports of the murders that took place in the house.

One can only imagine how well the full retail game will sell. The ps install base will be more than doubled.
