GTA V’s Next-Gen Version Not Delayed, Rockstar Confirms

Release of Grand Theft Auto V for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC has not been delayed, Rockstar confirmed in response to recent rumors that surfaced the internet. When a concerned fan contacted Rockstar Support to seek clarification, the developer responded by assuring him that the rumor was not true.

We are absolutely different types of people. I got it on both Xbox 360 and PS3, and when I buy next gen consoles I will probably get it again on both, would get PC too but I don't have a good gaming PC yet.

My family/friends play on different consoles, so I buy certain games on both Playstation and Xbox. I support both brands, while most of them can't afford to or just don't like one of the brands.

Also GTA Online is damn near perfect for what I like and I haven't even played half of everything they have in it so far. I love it :)

Just in case you've been vacationing under a rock, you WILL be able to transfer your GTA:Online Character(s?) over to the next gen version.

THIS was my main prediction/hope... and it came true. Thankfully. Otherwise, I would have been hard pressed to dump another 100 hours into a new character/bank account/etc.

That's impossible since the PS4 version has a higher traffic density, more population etc. Yes not just in single player, also online :)

First off, let me clarify...friends accumulated across ANY PlayStation brand device; PS3, PS4, Vita...share the SAME PSN network. So, if you have friends on a PS3, they will carry over to your PS4 and Vita as well. Either get a PS4 or get off your list? GET OVER YOURSELF! LOL

Secondly, YES - FFXIV supports cross server play between, not just the PS3 and PS4...but the PC as well. Square-Enix are very open to having ALL players, play with and among eachother, across multiple devices. Except the XBox. And that's because Microsoft doesnt want their gamers, playing alongside competing platforms. This is a known fact. I have FFXIV and have been a player since the beta days, last year.

Therefore, cross platform/cross server support is NOT impossible, Rock-Lee...as it has already been established.

And since you thought it WAS impossible, just proves to me that you have NO IDEA wtf youre talking about. With that being said, I'll continue to wait until I get a response from someone who actually DOES know wtf they're talking about.

@shad0wrunner. First things first, don't be so bloody rude, he answered your question politely. And most likely correctly; the density of Npcs has been increased for next gen, which makes it significantly less likely that cross-platform play will be supported.

So next time someone takes time out of their day to answer your question, at least read their answer before you go get arsey.

I don't know if tech support is the most reliable for solid confirmation of a games release schedule. It hasnt always been in the past and on top of that as the source shows they are only tier 1 support, pretty much for all intents and purposes the cashier of a store, they may know the publicly available information, but may not always be aware what the company ultimately plans to do. Would rather hear confirmation from a high up dev within rockstar. But atleast its something.
