Psycho Dad Shreds Son’s Video Games in Hilarious Video

Here’s an awesome little Youtube video that’s bound to make you laugh. A Father, fed up with his son’s unwillingness to quit playing video games all day and to get a job, decides to teach him a lesson. That lesson involves the son’s gaming collection and a lawn mower.

I’m pretty sure this staged but that doesn’t stop it from being funny as hell in my mind. The son’s pleads and tantrums are so over the top, and his reaction to the utter destruction of his games is well…just watch.

While it is fake. The moral of the story is true.If you're kid ain;t doing squat with their life.Time to become a parent.

So yeah it's fake and dumber than hell. This isn't parenting. It's lunacy. Parenting is communication and guidance. Not threatening and destruction. Especially when you take into account in these situations most of the games the child owns were probably purchased by the parents themselves.

I saw this posted on facebook a couple days ago and was blown away by people I personally know thinking this was real. I've seen better acting in porn videos.

My son has played video games since he could walk. He used controllers as teething rings. He just left my house 10 minutes ago to finish up his senior year of college where he has a 3.8 GPA. Both can co exist.

These sensationalist videos garnering this level of attention is sad. As satire, if well done, they are funny. But this one wasn't meant as satire but shock value and poorly executed.

BlackWolf123523d ago

I don't really think the gaming community have ANY right to comment on the morality of this kind of parenting.

Considering how pathetic we all are as a group. How can a group responsible for the console wars be allowed to have any opinion on real life matters.

dasbeer883523d ago

I'd love to live in a middle class house like that kid.

B00M3523d ago

Damn that house is fine, more like upper class lol.

SilentNegotiator3523d ago (Edited 3523d ago )

By destroying valuable property? Sell the games, hide them away until junior gets a job, but destroy them? Erratic behavior isn't good parenting.

I wouldn't mind this video being fake if it actually delivered on the "hilarious" part...it does not.

Codewow3524d ago (Edited 3524d ago )

Well, if they monetize this video they will make back the worth of all the games AND then some! So... I see this was a good idea!

edit: The guy has 22k subs, and monetized it... It's just another channel trying to make it big off the "Greatest Freakout Ever" series of staged videos.... It looks like it's working too... Wish I could come up with this stupid crap before these people so I could make the money and put it to good use funding my career and life goals.

PurpHerbison3523d ago

I wish I came up with even simpler ideas... Twitter... Instagram... etc... Where is my time machine?

SilentNegotiator3523d ago

Good ol' Ad Block Plus! Saving me from giving money to lame, fake videos.

Codewow3523d ago

As long as you reactivate it for videos that deserve a bit of money.

SilentNegotiator3522d ago (Edited 3522d ago )

I do indeed, sir.

RedLetterMedia, all of those hilarious cartoonists getting screwed by Youtube's new system that prizes length of video watched over quality and ad views, NormalBoots' channels, etc....take my money!!
...erm, I mean, take some advertiser's money.

Th3o3523d ago

A) It's fake
B) Not all kids are a product of how they are raised. There are many more factors than "raise your kids better"

Thank You

TheSaint3522d ago

Nurture over nature 99% of the time, so like I said. Raise your kids better.

Th3o3522d ago

@TheSaint

That's not the point, I'm stating it's not the only factor. There are plenty of other factors.

No matter how good the parent is, if the child is not willing or self disciplined he/she will continue to do so when the parent is not around.

Stop seeing everything as black and white.

Boody-Bandit3523d ago

You don't "raise" your kids. You care for, provide for, and guide your children. You don't have ownership in that they do what you say no questions asked. They are all individuals. You can merely feed them, cloth them, house them, care for them and instill strong values into them while hoping for the best.

The hardest working most well intentioned caring parents are not in control of the path their children will ultimately take. All you can do is your best and hope in the end it wasn't in vain.

Oh and BTW. This was fake.

Well, 4-Infinite dropped the ball massively so don't worry.

Sgt_Slaughter57d ago (Edited 57d ago )

Not really. 4, 5, MCC, and Infinite are only remembered for their shortcomings and failures when the franchise was purely known for being a system seller and an all-time great. There's a reason 1, 2, 3, and Reach are looked back on fondly, and it's not because of nostalgia.

FinalFantasyFanatic57d ago

I don't know of anyone that speaks fondly of the later Halo games, I would like to play 5, but I know it's not good, and I'm just waiting on Infinite to hit my strike price. I played MCC a lot later after it came out, so must of those bugs/issues were gone by the time I played it.

PhillyDonJawn57d ago (Edited 57d ago )

To say it dropped the massively is just not true. Many in the community hold H5 as the best mp mechanics in the entire series and say its what 4 should've been. Its campaign was trash but the MP is Fantastic and many faces of the community still play today and it only made 500mill in the matter of months but sure it dropped the ball massively. 4 was hated due to all the changes at once. And CoD like feature and rightful get hate but it's campaign story was liked by a majority of ppl. 343 hasn't nailed ot 100% but they get 1 thing perfect but F up in other places. Infinite had a good campaign and design but the story was a mess. The MP improves upon what Halo 3 was and is what many ppl wanted to go back to but it lacked content severely. So massively aint the word. Dropping the ball massively is when it's pure trash and unplay/unenjoyable. Most ppl blind by nostalgia so soon as 1 thing aint the same its hated cause Halo set the bar so high
FYI reach was not that good.

Dead IP, time to invent something new.

kaos8957d ago

Maybe they can have ID or one of the COD studios help 343 with this series.
