Diablo III is the ultimate console local co-op game

With the rise of online multiplayer gaming over the last decade, the idea of sitting on a couch and playing a video game locally with a group of friends, has become an almost foreign idea, especially when it comes to co-operative gameplay.

This is where Diablo III comes into play.

Blizzard has sucked since Activision bought them. Diablo III is the biggest dissapointedment they've ever released and it doesn't belong on crappy consoless.

randomass1713527d ago

Blizzard and Activision merged. Neither one bought the other.

Army_of_Darkness3526d ago

@tastas21 wow dude, I think your hard drive is overheating lol. Go grab a cooling fan and relax bro.

Drithe3526d ago

Diablo 3 is better on consoles, Pc boy!

nX3526d ago

I actually wouldn't mind if they skip PC for Diablo 4, this game is so much more fun on consoles. Local Coop is just an awesome bonus.

tastas213526d ago

It's a fact. Compare screenshots. pc is always bettter with eveyr game u just ganct admit it

vishmarx3526d ago

@tastas21
dont pretend youve already forgotten the spectacular diablo 3 pc launch.
always online drm, auction house, worse controls and all the login problems.
id take the ps3 version over just graphics of the pc version.the game isnt even a looker and ps3 has local co[op and offline play and excellent controls
ps4 version is just the best of both worlds

somebody is licking a salt rock

vishmarx3526d ago (Edited 3526d ago )

salty much?
because im playing co-op rnow on ps4 and its fun as hell

tastas213526d ago

I like salt it tastes good hahahah!

Play2Win3526d ago

Actually it is far better and improved than the PC version. It is an amazing summer release for PS4 and the best version of Diablo 3.

SpinalRemains1383526d ago

That's cool. You just prefer the lesser version of the game as you point and click your way to Noob greatness.

This feels like the game they've wanted to release all this time.

For better or worse.

So do you get more loot when playing together? Are there double the enemies or is the game more difficult? If everything stays the same I'd probably rather play alone instead of having to share the loot and xp.

Fullbucket3526d ago

I didn't notice any extra loot. Enemies were indeed harder, mind. You get an extra 10% gold & magic find when playing co-op, so that is a plus I guess.

Gr1mmyshadows3526d ago

The enemies are much harder in co-op, but i dont think you share XP or Loot. It is worth playing with a friend honestly

nucky643527d ago (Edited 3527d ago )

no, tecmo super bowl for NES in 1991 was the ultimate console local co-op game.....just amazing fun!

of course, most people on this site probably don't remember 1991, let alone the game.

SP4CE_C4PT4IN3526d ago

That was my first football game. Hell, I enjoyed Blades of Steel and Ice Hockey for an awesome co-op experience too ;)

nucky643526d ago

hells, yea! me and my buds played the heck out of tecmo SB and BoS hockey at ohio state back in the day!

SpinalRemains1383526d ago

Why do you remember 1991, but assume we will not?

nucky643526d ago

I'm sure a few on here will remember. sometimes there's talk on this site about "best games of all time" or "toughest games" or whatever and I notice many people never look past the last 15 years. there are some of us that do remember.
I once told some people in their early 20s I remember (as a very young kid) having to manually turn the tv channels and they thought I was joking - like remotes ALWAYS existed. LOL!

that's why I ended my comment the way I did. I didn't mean to imply I have superior knowledge or anything.

Ultraplayerxp3526d ago

Can you co-op D3 with a DS4 and vita?

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

thorstein77d ago

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

shinoff218378d ago

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.

Diablo III - Still a Huge Draw in the Face of Diablo IV

Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.

Palitera387d ago

Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?

kevco33386d ago

Heh, yeah. There's no comparison in here! Its a commentary on how III is still very playable over a decade later.

Diablo III Season 28 Brings a New Use for the Staff of Herding

Diablo III: Season 28 brings with it the Altar of Rites, an altar full of unlockable bonuses and potions that will require the gathering of tons of resources. One of things needed is the Staff of Herding, which also unlocks the famous Cow Level known as Whimsyshire. Here's how to craft that staff, for those that either have forgotten, or have never completed it.
