ESO Announces Subscriber Loyalty Program

Zenimax Online Studios today announced an exciting new incentive for players of The Elder Scrolls Online with the revealing of the upcoming Subscriber Loyalty Program. Similar to the feature seen in other popular MMO titles, such as Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XIV, subscribers will be treated to a variety of in-game rewards over specific periods of subscription time - as special recognition for their support and service to The Elder Scrolls Online community.

They sure know how to keep the "DONT CARE ABOUT THE GAME I MUST HAVE THAT EXCLUSIVE ITEM" crowd .

Not that i really care but still ,i think they should of started it with "if you sub by X date ,you'll be eligible !" Bring old members and fresh one at the same time. A more profitable win situation for Zeminax, imo.

Are people still playing this game? And is it free to play yet?

Nope it has about a million subscribers and I'm one. Free to play is shit and ruins games. It causes unexpected budget plans so they go cheap cause they don't know how much they are making every month.

Lots of content is planned for eso and that because we are subbing not f2p shit

This move is just to soften the blow for when they go F2P, it's unavoidable these days it seems.

I got an email through about this, so apparently I have been subscribing since launch. So I don't still play this game, but I do still pay.

I'm OK with that. I consider it a vote in favour of subscription games over free to play ones. Fairly sure I subscribe to FFXIV too, and that game is worse.

May try TESO again at some point, but I just have too much to play at the moment.

I'm still waiting for a discount on the subscription fees, i really want to play this game and have a PC capable of running it but i refuse to pay €15 a month to play a game, it's ridiculous.

DanteVFenris6663528d ago

Have you heard of wow? 15$ sub fee for 10 years now. Hasn't dropped a cent sense launch. The reason why you pay is for constant new content, and to pay for costs of servers which run them about 5-8 buck a person per month. Then the rest of the 8-10 dollars goes into development. So if you like the game there's no reason not to if your having fun.

I'm subbed and I'm not even playing it just because I like their future plans and want to support them until next time I relog. 15$ Is not a lot of money. I've known retail people who afford their own house and this game no problem. It's pocket change, unless your a kid and then id say that's a bonus of the sub fee it blocks people who don't have money, like kids and such.
