Grab It Magazine have compiled the top 50 best games of 2014 so far, from January to June. You’re sure to find plenty of fantastic experiences in the list that will suit your particular taste perfectly.
"For a limited time through to February 27, this revolutionary edition of our indie video game magazine for iPad, Grab It, focused on the delightful platformer Nihilumbra, will be free."
Great game if you have not played it - super hard on the New Game+ as well.
Wow so many games I'd love to see get this sort treatment with a big behind the scenes look. Would be good to see it for some PS or XB games too, Tomb Raider reboot maybe or Ori and the Blind Forest, both triple A or indie wouldn't matter. Looks great
Grab It have some very exciting news to share with everyone today. Over the last few months, they have been working with the organisers of the upcoming Australian Penny Arcade Expo – which runs from October 31 to September 2 – on a special edition of Grab It that ties into the big show. Episode 8 of Grab It – the digital magazine for iPad - offers a full, comprehensive guide to the indie games that will be showcased at the expo.
Whether you plan on attending and want to get a heads up on the must-play games, or are watching on from afar and want to keep on top of what you’re missing, there is no better destination. This could very well be the single best piece of indie games focused media ever created.
Looking forward to it. Will keep an eye out to snag it while it's free in the first couple of days
Wish I could be there. It's shaping up to be a huge year for indie gaming and indie gaming media.
Just finished reading the app and loved it. There is some real talent on display this year.
We've done a stack of Making Of features in the main Grab It series, but with this special edition being focused solely on Nihilumbra, we were able to really experiment and push the boundaries of digital magazine design. Using video, sound and animation, we were able to put the editorial into an experience just like the game world we're speaking about. Where you can physically play the magazine. It's very cool.
If you have an interest at all in games magazines, the design of this is well worth exploring. Lots of little animations and easter eggs to find.
Better get started. Never left wanting for a great iPad game these days
Wow that's a crazy list and only halfway through the year!
Wow, what an amazing list for being only half way through the year. And there's some pretty awesome games on the horizon too!
Is it cheating to have VVVVVV in there - didn't it come out a few years ago on another format?
