Mad Catz Xbox One Force Feedback Wheel set for release in July

Be curious to see the test results of this, I went through 3 Mad Catz wheel in order to finish every race in Forza 4. Good thing it had a 2 year warranty.

Might give the Thrustmaster a try this time around.

If this is the same one they used at E3 which was HORRIBLE then they can stick it up their rear. Madcatz has always been my most hated brand since the ps1 days.

I'm not seeing any features on this thing that the Logitech G27 doesn't already have, and for a lot less money. Also no clutch pedal and shifter.

Especially for $400. That's insane.
I'm holding out hope Fanatec will update their wheels via drivers or a new wheel altogether. A much better quality product over Madcatz or Thrustmaster.

I feel your pain.
I have the CSR Elite, CSP V.2, TH8RS Shifter with an interfaceone board to allow my Thrustmaster shifter to communicate with my Fanatec wheel. Over 1k invested just to play Forza 4 in all it's glory and that's not including the $$$ I put out for my rig to mount all the equipment to. Oh and 2 buttkickers. :)

MS easily could give the code for a driver update to Fanatec to allow their wheels to be compatible with the X1 but they have deals with Thrustmaster and Madcatz to get the additional licensing fees. I know a lot of Fanatec owners that are sticking with the 360 because of this. Their greed is appalling.

Where's the H shifter & clutch? There's nothing quit like running though the gears with your right hand. (or left for you mates overseas) How can they discard such a full experience? Why did they settle less? At the least, I hope Madcatz made the petals modular like Thrustmaster did so they can be swapped out.

For 400 bucks you would expect the pedals to have a clutch and the wheel to be belt driven instead of gear driven since that's quite a premium price.

A lot of people are mentioning the lack of a stick shift. Most modern sports cars have moved away from standard shifting (gearbox) and use flappy paddle gear boxes (notice the paddle behind the wheel).

A dual-clutch system allows for much faster shifting and the car never loses power. A dual-clutch system doesn't use a clutch pedal.

Yes, but Racing game enthusiasts drive in the way that emulates the car and a lot of games use cars that have a normal clutch and shifter. When I play with a car that uses padel shifters I use the pedal shifters and when I play with a car that uses a normal gear shifter I use the gear shifter. For 400 bucks they should at least have the clutch pedal and they could still sell a shifter separately like Thrustmaster and Fanatec do.

I've heard many people complain that they can't use use their phones properly with a manual, but I digress. Cycling through 4th and 6th with my right hand on a twisting highway is sublime, stomping on the clutch and dropping down a gear to make a quick pass... I love it! Even coming out of gear and coasting along passively in neutral whilst revving at a red light.

Completely agree. I have a paddles in my car and I hate it. It takes all of the fun out of a manual but I kind of understand for race cars the need for the quicker shifting.
