Tekken X Street Fighter Format and Date Still Missing from Namco's Schedule

I think we'll get another tekken before we get the crossover game, i hope the next one still has the option for tag battles, it would be kinda dry going back to just single fights again.

I just hope king and armor king get more grabs >:D. That being said armor king is due some story since we get nothing from T6 or TTT2 on who he is aside from being the younger brother of the other armor king.

yeah i hope so too, every iteration of tekken has always added more moves, yeah they need to give him something more, saying that though the wrestling scenes in his, kings and marduks were pretty sick.

I don't think this game coming. SFxT was a flop and that's why TxSf not coming. Just give me Tekken 7.

I remember long ago the director being asked about the game, and him saying he wanted to just forget about it, lol. I think it was giving them trouble trying to develop. It's not surprising, seeing that their answer to the old Capcom vs SNK series was SvC Chaos, and it was clearly outclassed by Capcom's effort. I even like how Capcom did SNK characters moves better than SNK does them. I'm sure the game would've been crap anyhow, SNK does their own crazy roster fighters well, but isn't good at these type of franchise crossover games.

Tekken and SF don't really fit at all to me because one is 3D and the other 2D. Try to do a hadouken in Tekken all you have to do is side step so it don't hit you lol. Unless they do it in 2D with 3D graphics I don't really see SF working well in the Tekken fighting style.

I've never been into Tekken, but love SF. the contrasting control methods seem like a nightmare to put in one game.

Think I'd much prefer Street Fighter V. No, not an Ultra Super Duper SFIV with Turbo Boobs or whatever.

Yeah, I'd rather a SF5 also. Going into the next SF right now with their current mentality towards microtransactions and willingness to throw fair balanced gameplay out the window just to make an extra $$$, it could get messy. I can see it now, before the game even releases they'll start it up by having a pre-order bonus that gives you a 10% lifebar add-on.

Yeah, I think that sort of pay-to-win (pay per punch) stuff put me off loading up Tekken Revolution (the ftp one on PSN) as I heard it was all based on paid boosters for MP. Nobody needs that.

Guess I'll just have to keep an eye on Mortal Kombat X. I suppose Injustice was pretty good.

LOL, I just realized I went on about SNK, but we're talking about Namco's Tekken. But I agree with you to an extent @ NoWayOut. I didn't play SF x Tekken, but it seemed the actual gameplay was done decent. What made the game do bad seems to be the idiotic greed of Crapcom to lock characters off the disc to make more money off them as $DLC and to add a 'pay-for-advantage' system with the gems and selling new $DLC gems. It's a horrible idea for a fighting game, and something it seems they are thinking of doing with SF5 with the announcement including the 'pay-for-advantage' system crap from that COO at Crapcom.

I think the game can be done though, because Tekken still plays basically like it's on a 2D plain like SF. You can side step and stuff, but it's not super 3D all over the place like a DBZ fighting game or something. Namco isn't the one to do it though, Capcom is better at these crossovers, Cap vs SNK and SF x Tekken. They spoiled SFxTekken by other means, main visuals and gameplay looked intact though.

I think we all know what's actually happened is that the Trico creature from The Last Guardian has ate the game and has been ill with 40 miffed brawlers battling inside it for the last few years.

They should just cancel it and focus on Tekken 7. If I want to play a cross-over game with both franchises then I'll just play SFxTK. There is no point in having 2 cross-overs.

I would like to see Tekken X Street Fighter, but it's obvious that there are development problems on Namco's side of things. The main problem this crossover presents the is controls, which is what the biggest problem with Street Fighter X Tekken was. Tekken characters (or rather Tekken players had to use) used Street Fighter control schemes, which meant Tekken players were at a disadvantage playing against Street Fighter players.

If it was possible for both games controls to coexist in the same game, Tekken X Street Fighter would be a much easier game to create.
