CD Projekt RED not considering next-gen remakes of The Witcher 1 or 2

You also need money to build or buy a computer that can actually run these games..

Yes it costs money to have a computer, but think of all the games that don't come to console. You will always be prepared for situations like this. Plus your collection will never need backwards compatibility.

Haven't had a PC in years. All I got is a Samsung Galaxy Light 4G LTE and a PlayStation 3.

Nor should they. If you want to know what they'd look like on PS4/X1, play them on PC; you can build one that will play both games properly for the same $$ it takes to own a console.

Except I already own a console and my laptop (I'm probably never going to have a desktop again) won't hold up (thermal limits kick in after 1-2 hours depending on the game) and I'm at least a year away from a new laptop etc.

Why? on the steam can be bought at a bargain price of first and second part .. if someone really wanted to start playing this game will choose Pc.

Start the petitions!! They'll most likely do something similar to what Bioware did on the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2 to let everyone understand the Witcher story.

I imagine it'd be a real pain-in-the ass porting Witcher 1 to any platform. The Aurora engine is garbage. It's astonishing CDR was able to do as much with it as they did.

And it was a garbage engine in 2006. Even high-end machines today can have trouble getting NWN2 to play properly.

Maybe they'll release a Witcher trilogy later, but for now looks like they're concentrating on Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk. Can't wait for more news on Cyberpunk 2077!

they should consider it seeing that lots of people didnt get to play the first 2 games. i wanted to try the witcher 2 but wasnt on ps3 and that was my console of choice.

I'm glad to hear this. Of course I want to play Witcher 3 when it comes out. I haven't played the first 2 and wouldn't have time to anyway. Just concentrate on making this game good, that's all that matters IMO. Also since people keep talking PC, that's a very good idea for those that haven't played the previous games. I'm thinking of making a steam account and just gaming on PC after this gen is over, or maybe during it too idk

Destiny, Metal Gear Solid, GTA V, Final Fantasy XV and even The Last of Us.
I don't care about the remake of these games, The Witcher 1 is nothing special and the second is overrated, i agree with the Edge review.

You forgot Kingdom Hearts III, Bloodborne, Halo 5, Halo MCC, Sunset Overdrive. They still cry occasionally that they didn't get Halo 3, ODST, Reach, Gears 2 and Gears 3

I have been awaiting for cybepunk for a long time. And i don't want them wasting time on stupid remakes. As much as i love the witcher games, they made geralt in witcher 2 cheat on yennifer and that pissed me off, even with save import the opening did not change, i am not saying he was all rightous, i read the books and made me realise geralt loves yennifer a lot. I am really looking forward to cyberpunk, it looks like the world from ghost in shell movies and psycho pass anime, which i am sure many of us have been dreaming to play, and the fans of blade runner and original cyberpunk for a long long time.
