Bayonetta On Wii U Is The Port Of The Xbox 360 Version, Runs At 60 FPS

Hideki Kamiya has shared some extra details on the Wii U port of Bayonetta this morning, confirming that it will be a port of the Xbox 360 version of the game.

Snookies123597d ago (Edited 3597d ago )

Of course, cause they screwed up the PS3 version from what I've heard.

Bundi3597d ago

No "they" didn't. Someone else did though.

randomass1713597d ago

Nah, I was there for that. The PS3 port was outsourced. That's why it was crap.

Venoxn4g3597d ago

SEGA is to blame, PS3 version wasn't ported by Platinum Games.. but later Sega, released a patch so you can install game into HDD, but still it didn't fix all the problems..

On topic: good to see that Wii U will get a best version of the game .. Day 1

Deadpoolio3596d ago

It fixed a majority of the problems, and taught Platinum a very important lesson about porting games themselves...If you look at Vanquish, it looked and ran better on PS3 than on the 360 because they did the port themselves.

360 Version is super good and i think it could be more fun to play it on gamepad (off TV Screen)

mydyingparadiselost3597d ago (Edited 3597d ago )

I wonder if they'll bump up the resolution as well. Doesn't really matter to me, the frame rate is way more important imo, but I'm still curious.

Two bayonetta games on one disc. Bliss.

DarkBlood3597d ago

Till you find out the first one is actually just a download code

MNGamer-N3597d ago

Yes, I was wondering the same thing. Will it be a download code for the game? Or have a game select screen when you put the disc in? I am thinking your right, that we will have to download it. It makes more sense to me.

Artista 3597d ago

I don't mind. My wii U is all digital. :)

randomass1713597d ago (Edited 3597d ago )

So that's, what, a $80 - $100 value on a single $60 disc?

Dudebro903597d ago

Considering the digital version of bayonetta 2 doesn't come with the first one, I'm gonna go with no.

Nerdmaster3596d ago

"The original version of Bayonetta will be available via a digital download on eShop when you purchase Bayonetta 2 (either a box version or digital copy of the game)."

Pancit_Canton3597d ago

Kamiya freaking hates the playstation for some reason. Nintnedo and Microsoft must be sleeping with him and gives him money afterwards.

Concertoine3597d ago

What makes you say that? Nintendo bought the rights to TW101 and Bayonetta 2 and now MS did the same for scalebound.

Originally Bayonetta was to be 360 exclusive, but that follows the trend of many japanese devs like capcom who felt the ps3 had an uncertain future.

The guy made Resident Evil 2 and Okami which were both once playstation exclusive.

lilbroRx3597d ago (Edited 3597d ago )

That is false on both accounts.

TW101 was a new Nintendo I.P. that they got Platinum to make. Nintendo did not by the rights to it. It was theirs from conception.

SEGA owns the rights to Bayonetta. Nintendo simply agreed to publish the game where no one would.

Okami was not PlayStation exclusive so much as it was just the PS2 he chose to release it on. There was no deal or dedication to Playstation that made Okami exclusive.

Concertoine3597d ago (Edited 3597d ago )

@above

You're wrong too. The Wonderful 101 was a game Platinum approached Nintendo to make. Originally Platinum wanted it with Nintendo IP's but Kamiya decided otherwise. To say Nintendo were the ones to invent TW101, an amalgamation of everything Kamiya himself has ever made, is even logically wrong. Also, if Fatal Frame 4, 2 wii edition, and Spirit Camera are anything to go by Nintendo DOES own the rights as part of the publishing deal.

Nintendo owns the rights of Bayonetta 2 alone, also like Fatal Frame's sequels. That's why you'll never see them on another platform. If they only had publishing rights we'd see a Mass Effect situation where it end up on other platforms.

When did imply that wasn't the case. I said, at one point, both of those games were exclusive to platstation and they were. My point was that he has no clear dedication or dislike of any of the big 3, and he doesn't.

SuicidalTendencies3597d ago

Seeing RE2 and exclusive made me lol. It was released on PS1 first, and less than a year later it got a N64 release. A few months later it got a PC release. Then from there it released on the Dreamcast, then the Gamecube. This is all based on the U.S. releases though. It's a bit different depending on region.

SuicidalTendencies3596d ago

Apologies. Apparently I was remembering wrong. RE2 was on PS1 first for a little over a year.

These are the release dates of the RE2.

My point being was that it was never really exclusive. People just like to remember it as a PS only game.

" I DON'T CARE .. F*** OFF "
