The most interesting game to come out this year has come from the small Swedish team The Working Parts and takes the form of They Breathe, a horrifying adventure that while short, full of strong game design, and a haunting narrative that surpasses most horror games in recent memory, whether intentional or not."
They Breathe is a fantastically horrific indie title that will not take much of your time, but it will absolutely leave an impact.
8CN: More and more, indie games are beginning to steal the spotlight away from the Call of Duty's and Assassin's Creed's of the world. Games like Five Nights at Freddy's and Towerfall were as talked about as any AAA release this year, and rightly so. However, if that's all you played in 2014 from the indie side of things, you missed out on some fantastic new releases.
Man I just bought "Transistor" for PS4 during the Sony flash sale, AWESOME game! It should be included in this list, but maybe it was not "overlooked". Just beat it today, now working on the platinum, worth the $7.99 for sure. I still need Shovel Knight for my WiiU too, I'll have to scoop it.
Overlooked games we might have missed?
That sounds redundant much :p
Wouldnt be overlooked if we hadnt missed em
I really should give transistor a try though
8CN: Not every game needs to be 200 hours long, and frankly, not every game should even try to be. Sometimes the best stories are the ones that don't overstay their welcome, and these games prove it. Here are 22 great games from 2014 that you can probably get all the way through on your lunch break.
That frog sure knows how to breathe really good like.
It's actually a 2012 game, Mr. Professional Games Journalist.
Sounds incredible!
