This sorta thing is why I really really need a good gaming PC in my life.
My PC is only good enough to run San Andreas lol, but the mods for that blew me away. I need to get updated..

Wat? Lmao, I got an i5-2500 and 8gb of DDR3 ram for about $300. then I got a $40 GPU, now I can run most games at medium-high-ultra and maintain 58-60fps. Lol, I left console gaming, and I still use a controller. KB+M is trash to me.

*Edit, My whole build cost about $320.

PCs confuse the hell out of me and I don't wanna get ripped off. One day Ill have time to do my research..

Seems like a cool project but is it "necessary" though? I mean would the experience of playing this be any different from playing Oblivion seeing as they have very similar features? And if you want a better looking Oblivion you can just mod it instead of remaking/reimporting the whole game.

With that said, I'd most certainly try this out if it's ever finished.

There's this - http://tesrenewal.com/morro...

Although obviously it's a mod for Oblivion instead. I've been meaning to try it out for a while, apparently 100% of the main game is completed but they're still working on Bloodmoon and Tribunal.

Might have to give it a try tonight.

Meh. Not really all that impressed. I already have Oblivion looking that good using TPC, AEVWD, TES4LODGEN, ATE-ENB and a few .ini tweaks.

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast13d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22913d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko13d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave13d ago (Edited 13d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
