Someone really needs to Remake this game. Bioware doesn't know how to make rpg's anymore and Obsidian screwed up the second one so I wouldn't know who could do it and give it justice.

I agree man, this game, for me atleast, had so much replay value. I just could never ger bored of it. I really wish they would remake this as well or atleast another great star wars rpg

Its quite annoying the amount of public outcry for the past 8-10 years asking for a sequel - but no one has wanted to make one!
Then lucasarts has a reshuffle - hire some clown who axes all the games!
I mean the kotor 3 art work and story had been written! why on earth did someone decide for TOR online only.
Even a new story for the jedi outcast series was being written and again it got cancelled.

I reckon with Disney at the helm they will pour money into developing the games as quickly as possible which I really hope turn out good.
But with such a rapid release cycle there is a good chance it might not be.
I really hope someone who knows the history gets to do something with these cancelled titles

Agreed 100%. I can't count how many times I've played it. So much depth.

LightDiego3637d ago

I really want a remake too, now would be a great opportunity for Bioware because of the new movie.

2nd one is worth a play with the Restored Content mod.

restored content mod??!!!
I shall install this shortly.

"and Obsidian screwed up the second one"

Yeah no. It was infinitely better than what Bioware did with the first KOTOR, eventhough LucasArts forced them to release the game months early before development was finished.

Summons753637d ago

It was a buggy mess even if it wasn't forced out. Obsidian has a horrible track record and they always blame everyone but themselves. Alpha Protocol was their own game, not rushed and look how that turned out. I think you're the first person I've seen actually try and defend that piece of crap.

ContinuePlay3637d ago

Actually, Alpha Protocol WAS forced out - by SEGA

Blacktric3637d ago

"I think you're the first person I've seen actually try and defend that piece of crap."

Do you enjoy living in a bubble? Alpha Protocol was rushed for release just like KOTOR 2 and Fallout: New Vegas. You can find several interviews regarding these games and how they wanted to add much more content to them but were forced to release it the way they are.

God I love KOTOR so much. I must've gone through it more than half a dozen times by now, and it's still fresh and enjoyable!
