Sims 2 graphics was so much better than the sims 3.It seems like they are going more towards Sims 2 graphics style with the sims 4, which makes me happy. But at a cost of losing the ability to CASt stuff unfortunately..

I actually enjoyed The Sims Online. Too bad they couldn't make that work.

SegaGamer3646d ago

They probably could have but they are just useless so failed.

never played a sims game can someone explain me what the games about?

Life simulator pretty much. You creaate a sim, their appearance, the house the live in, the family they live in, etc.

You can control one sim or several. They have basic needs displayed as meters… hygiene, hunger, social, fun, bladder, energy… that are always dropping unless you do something about it. Have them eat and fill the hunger meter, but meanwhile the other meters continue to drop, unless another sim is eating with them in which case they will talk during the meal and the social meter will go up also. They have to clean up after eating or it negatively effects their overall environment, unless they're a natural slob in which case they won't care. Don't let them use the bathroom and they'll eventually soil themselves and get very embarrassed. Don't let them sleep and they'll pass out.

It's more entertaining than it may sound because the sims have a lot of personality, speaking their own language and having lots of different animations for their various activities and display of emotions. Some people have their fun with these games by torturing the sims in various ways. Kill them and their ghost may haunt the property, frightening other sims. Lead them into a room, pause the game and take the door away, and they'll starve to death. Get them to swim in the pool, take the ladder away, and they'll drown. If an electrical appliance breaks, they can try to fix it themselves but if they don't have enough skill they may electrocute themselves. Have them cook without enough skill and they may set the house on fire.

They can get various jobs and have to build up skills in order to get promoted, they can marry and have kids, get old and die while the kids grow up and start families of their own… lots of things can happen. I've read articles about college professors using the game as a teaching tool for psychology or sociology
