Far Cry 4 to be revealed at E3 2014?

It’s been nearly a year since Ubisoft Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales Tony Key said we would be getting Far Cry 4 news soon and it is long over due for that news.

With 2 confirmed Assassins Creed titles in the works and Fary Cry 4 in development Ubisoft has a lot to share. Far Cry 3 has been released for 2 years now, giving Ubisoft those 2 years for development of the new title. They should be far enough in the process to be able to supply gameplay and possible a release date at E3.

I can't wait for E3. I predict it will be the most "Pants Removing" " Brain Exploding" "Wiener Enlarging" E3, Ever, in the history of all humans!

FAR CRY 3 was a good game but they cheesed us with their e3 2012 footage and then downgraded it on pc to compensate for consoles so hopefully they go all out for the pc next time

gillri3653d ago

Well they will go all out on all platforms hopefully,

I think they downgraded the graphics because the modified cryengine 1 have a lot of issues with the high res texture

I hop they stop using it

Prince of Persia getting revealed too I bet.

Goro3653d ago

As awesome as it would be, i doubt it will happen, Ubisfot Montreal are already working on Assassin's Creed 5, Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs, Child of Light and possibly still Rainbow 6 Patriots.

RuleNumber53653d ago

Aw yeah, now that you put it like that, could be a longshot. But I mean, maybe another studio is taking the reigns. Either way, E3 2014 is going to be exciting!

Ubisoft is working on a 2D Prince of Persia game using UbiArt engine. It will look like Borderlands mixed with Child of Light.

Very exciting.

Hopefully they will add flying vehicles back in the game

Played and enjoyed Far Cry, Far Cry 3 and 4 campaigns .

4 wasn’t so bad

Pagan Min was pretty entertaining

Skuletor41d ago

Yeah, 4 was good, was hard choosing which Golden Dawn member to side with, when they were both pieces of sh!t.
I've beaten all the main entries except 2 and 6, ended up uninstalling 6 to download something else instead.

I'd love a far cry pack with the original PC game (not the half assed port on ps360) instincts, predator even a port of far cry 2 to modern consoles back when these games had their own identity and weren't far cry 3 cut and pastel

Demetrius41d ago

Still one of my most favorite franchises along with assassins creed

banger8841d ago (Edited 41d ago )

Same here, I don't know why these games get so much hate. I've thoroughly enjoyed every single one of them, with only a couple of exceptions. I wish they'd hurry up and announce Far Cry 7. The only thing I'm concerned about is the rumoured time limit.

I would put 5 above 6 but agree with the other ratings. Though 6 has more refined gameplay compared to 5 it's lack of a compelling story really does hurt it imo but if you are a gameplay fiend and don't really care about story it makes sense.
