GR-UK writes: Lost Swords marks the next entry in the famous fighting series, and it was just launched on PlayStation 3 (more details here). Before the game's release, we caught up with Masaaki Hoshino at Level Up 2014 and talked about Soul Calibur's shift from store shelves to digital free-to-play.
During the interview we asked whether Lost Swords might ever make the transition to new-gen consoles. Hoshino-san had this to say on the matter (via a translator): "The Soul Calibur franchise has always changed to the new consoles; sometime that was the Dreamcast, sometime that was the PS2, sometime that was the Xbox 360. So it pretty much depends on how the market really wants, so if the Xbox One or the PS4 is very much moving at that time, yeah why not!"
Today Bandai Namco released a definitely intriguing trailer titled "SoulCalibur 20th Anniversary," celebrating the past chapters of the popular fighting series.
The anniversary was back in January btw.
Celebrated by yours truly together with his friends.

Bandai Namco announced the closure of the free to play fighting game SoulCalibur: Lost Swords, that will end its service on November 30th, and they released a "closing" trailer to say farewell to the community, but is it really a farewell?
Maybe it isn't, as teased by some comments to the trailer by the publisher.
GamersFTW writes - Bandai Namco has announced that their popular free-to-play title Soul Calibur Lost Swords will end its service and shut the servers on November 30th.
I enjoyed some of the older games, would be great if they were shutting this down to release a new one!
Was not a fan of SCV but I still hope for a new SC. Played part 4 to death back in the early days.
That would be cool for PS4/XBOne owners, but lets get it working on the PS3 first.
No, just give us a current gen Soul Calibur 6.
I'd rather have a SC game that was built from the ground up for PS4/XboxOne.
no soul c or tekken yet for vita ?
Get it on ps3/xbox360 Gen first. Although porting an error screen probably would be quick and easy.
