Following the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One lists, the Gamer Horizon crew have listed off why they (or most of them anyway) have purchased Wii U consoles.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder is the first Mario 2D game in almost two decades without the New Super Mario art style, and it looks all the better for it
Am I missing something? It looks exactly the same, just higher resolution… Is this sarcasm?
This Mario game looks great, getting a switch for this and Mario RPG. CANT WAIT, TITS JACKED.
Yeah I liked how much more emotion could be conveyed through the new style at first glance I didn't see much difference but then rewatching the trailer I'm seeing more and more animations that remind me of the Mario artwork from the manual of smb3
I hated the new super Mario bros Style. This new one seems a lot more expressive and less generic. I hope it's a good game
I prefer the 2d Mario's. Me and my girl have played them all together and mario galaxy , Mario odyssey. The 2nd player option is extremely eh
Masahiro Sakurai, the director of Super Smash Bros., explains why he believes online play isn't a good fit for the series.
I feel bad for Smash fans. Those guys have been trying to maintain the scene active for 20+ years and get nothing but hate from Nintendo.
Sakurai explains how he and Nintendo still don't understand how the internet works.
FTFY
I’m sorry, but if a game is MP then there’s no f*cking argument that can justify no online MP. What he says about competition being different from just playing with friends shows me how out of touch these people are.
It’s not until a new generation that understands things steps in to clean-house that we’ll see some evolution here.
It's a big fighting game so online multiplayer is a must. Competitive smash is the only thing I see fun in these games anymore asides from the big character reveals, singleplayer is laughable and you ain't gunna have people over for couch gaming much.
If Nintendo makes a new smash, it needs a huge evolution for singleplayer/couch play to be enjoyable for me any more. But we all know they'll just do a deluxe edition for their next console lol. They really need to up their servers as well.
he sounds more like is trying to justify Nintendo ineptitude to create a proper network infrastructure in order to Smash Brothers work properly online.
Major 2023 game anniversaries include The World Ends With You, Mario Kart Wii, and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, among many others
Smash Bros! Nuff said!
5) Third party games (back in 2011, when a lot of companies talked about all their possibilities with the Wii U)
4) Gamepad.
3) Zelda.
2) It's a Nintendo console.
1) Pikmin 3, NUFF SAID!
#1 The gamepad has all the same functions as any core controller on top of touch screen options for even more gameplay potential. The only detriment might be its size, but that's pretty much the only drawback.
#2 The first party games, which have thus far shown, as a majority rule, a great deal of replay-ability and longevity compared to many other games on the market, even ones that were much more hyped up.
#3 Specific third party games. Many of the ports sucked, but there are a few superb gems like Deus Ex Director's Cut and The Wonderful 101 that were truly done gloriously on the Wii U.
#4 The backwards compatibility with the Wii being native.
Some sites and reviewers downplay this and pass it off as a non-gamer-important feature because the others do it, but I say I'd much rather see my console support its own lineup of games over the ability to play DVD movies.
I bought my console for gaming; I don't see it as a bad thing for it to support that purpose as fully as possible, even if it means giving up a few non-gaming features.
#5 NO FEES FOR ONLINE PLAY.
And the online is still pretty damned smooth despite that.[especially if you use Wired internet]
I only need one reason to buy a wii u but nintendo don't seem to want my money.
1, F-ZERO.
My top 5 reasons why I got mine
1. Zelda WW HD
2. X
3. Mario Kart 8
4. Super Smash Bros.
5. Bayonetta 2
All games, and there's at least 10 more games I want to play on the Wii U, some of which are currently released.
