While there’s a lot to love about modern video games, there is one trend — particularly in the AAA space — that tends to grate: their length.
Games are coming out with too much fluff and side activities that are horribly dull. That's my main issue with all these open world games. Open world should be about exploration, discovery and wonder, not have some stupid 10s or 100s of boring activities spread throughout.
PS4 1.9* XBone globally. Interesting numbers. This at a time with major game releases so if we look back and reconsider these numbers we have to conclude that Titanfall did not do much or rather enough to stem the PS4 domination globally as was expected by most rational thinkers.
And people said the Vita was dead, that 1% increase begs to differ!
Again vgchartz......., but it seems titanfall didn't help the X0 as much as many as hoped.
You forget the PS4 is selling in 53 countries the x box 1 13 countries.
The lead isn't that huge really and can be easily closed, in a year or two.
X box 1 is likely to sell better in China too. Japan goods are not selling well there. China sells lots of goods to the Americans, the Chinese government will welcome Microsoft more than Sony.
looks like overall the game industry is in good shape going by these numbers. hopefully this time next year we will stop seeing consoles are dying articles.
