this game has gotten a lot better since it initially launched i still wonder when we will get a release date for the ps4 version.

Philoctetes3660d ago

I skipped the PS3 version because I figured this would be out for PS4 by March at the latest. And now here we are without even a release date yet . . .

I'm having a great time playing it on ps3 with my girlfriend! It's really good and all but I'm dying to get into the expansion, so I'll get it again when it hits ps4.

Lionsguard3660d ago

This was an expansion done right. I finally feel like I'm playing to find loot for myself instead of just finding crap to sell on the auction house just so I can buy the stuff that I actually want instead.

Still no offline play? I guess I'll just give up waiting for it. I finished it once on normal difficulty hardcore mode while enduring the lag, but I won't risk losing my character because of problems in the internet connection. And playing Diablo in the "softcore" mode is not very fun.

aliengmr3660d ago (Edited 3660d ago )

Its true "always online" is far from ideal, but its worth mentioning that even though I have never liked the always online thing, the recent updates have made it tolerable.

Also, the difficulty has been streamlined a lot. Its much more balanced between common mobs and elites(in my experience). And with loot 2.0 your gear will keep up. You also can switch the difficulty at any time and there are more difficulty levels.

All in all its a far better experience now. If you just have a crap connection, its understandable, but if you have a competent one, its worth a revisit.

Sorry, but thanks for the bullshit.

Server lag is a problem with the server, not the user. Just because you're too oblivious to notice the lag in your own games does not mean the lag is nonexistent, or only there for people with "crap connections."

aliengmr3660d ago

@Sly-Lupin

Not bullshit. I am sorry. What I said was not meant to shift blame. I never liked the always online crap and on one occasion there was server lag. I actually did have some issues on my end as well.

Listen, if you get constant server lag, like all the time, then I am not sure what to tell you. I have played it lag free for the most part.

What I was trying to say was IMO the game had improved to a level that made the trouble of it being always online tolerable. You disagree? Fine, but there's no reason to be a dick about it.

Why would you want to play a game like this offline? This is the type of game where playing with friends make it so much more enjoyable.

The game got so much better after 2.0 I am glade I went back just got my Crusader 70 now to farm gear.

The Greatest Video Game Comeback Stories in Gaming History

Who says a dud game can't have a video game comeback?

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

thorstein75d ago

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

shinoff218375d ago

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.

Diablo III - Still a Huge Draw in the Face of Diablo IV

Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.

Palitera384d ago

Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?

kevco33384d ago

Heh, yeah. There's no comparison in here! Its a commentary on how III is still very playable over a decade later.
