Is Sony Really in Trouble?

With all the recent news surrounding Sony and its first-party studios, Stephen from Leviathyn examines whether Sony is really in a tight spot.

I really hope not but with all the shakeups taking place within the company, people's minds start to wonder, what if? Personally I think they should focus on what's "bringing home the bacon" the PS4, before they get too crazy with other ventures.

No x1 is in great shape. Like I said x1 start to take hold in us.. the next one to fall is the uk. Only reason ps4 sales are higher its avaliable in more country's. :)

Keep telling yourself that. But also note that the PS4 is outselling the X1 in all of the 13 territories that the X1 is available in. So take away all but 13 of the PS4's territories, it would still be selling more.

Why? Demand. *Thee* most important factor in sales.

If the X1 can't even outsell the PS4 in the 13 territories that MS deems most important....how do you think it would fare spread out to 56?

There are over 60 million Xbox 360 owners worldwide. But yet only about 6 million Xbox one's sold. Why do think that is? You guessed it, price.

I love how people continue to try and cover the fact that the PS4 is neck and neck in the Xbox's one and only territory, while meanwhile it's getting slaughtered everywhere else. PS4 is just the better console, more people want, and the hardware/ software sales have only proven this fact. The few asshurt Xbots left are still crying themselves to sleep overnight because of this, and it's just so so sad. You guys won't even have Titanfall to tout around once the sequel hits. Oh well. Have fun continuing to believe your own BS excuses while you wait for a still unannounced Halo and at least 2-3 years for another Gears.

No Sony isn't in trouble. They make plenty of money off of the playstation, financial, music, and motion pictures divisions which are all profitable. The only division that is consistently losing money is Sony Electronics.

People REALLY want Sony to be in trouble. Guess Sony needs to go on a PR blitz and blab our heads off about things that aren't coming out until like 5 years down the line.
