by the time you read this, about 50 Twitch.tv Gamers will have reached the Max level cap as they marathon game ESO, playing it for 48 hours STRAIGHT during it's release.

Some of us have lives and jobs to tend to before gaming unfortunately. Not to mention I just don't have in it in me to stay up 48 hours straight anymore.

You would be surprised that while they play the game they love (though ruining the experience imo), many also make more than we do in a week.

Its crazy but many of them arent just losers that sit and play games while we work at our "normal jobs". The world is changing and gaming is huge, and it has made youtube and twitch very lucrative in the process.

And most dont stay up 48 hrs. They rotate ppl.

This is exactly what developers either dont understand or simply choose to ignore. But the hardcore crowd will level cap within a week or 2 (and thats being quite liberal). Then its on to endgame content. It is really hard to find the right balance between hardcore and casual and you need them all.

Thus, if its too grindy, anyone that cant spend 18 hrs a day playing will stop b/c it will become too daunting. Those that can breeze through content. Hopefully the veteran levels, crafting, 4 mans, and trials can hold ppl over for awhile. I would hate to see this game go f2p.

I dunno, sometimes I think they'd be better off saying "no we don't need them all" and just aiming to make a good game.

You can't satisfy the speedrun crowd for any length of time, you can't possibly make content at that rate without sacrificing quality (and repetitive content is sacrificing quality).

So far TESO strikes me as a game that caters very well to the meandering adventurer, so I am enjoying it. Don't know much about the end game, if it's the same as every other MMORPG since WoW then I wont bother with it. The supposed 6 week content patch cycle is encouraging though.

And the game apparently has no "end game", so like Star Wars' MMO before it, I guarantee this game will be destined for the F2P bin within 6 months or so.

They just announced upcoming endgame content for the end of April, actually. Look it up. ESO Craglorn.

I would rather just play the game.
