If you want to have a laugh on the console war and like The Big Bang Theory, then you're in for a treat tomorrow with the new episode The Indecision Amalgamation, that will see protagonist Sheldon take on one of the hardest decisions for a gamer. PS4 or Xbox One?

@Bimkoblerutso - I've been a geek since the early days. When people who were gamers or liked computers were labeled as people who live in their mother's basement who can't get girlfriends.

I'm confident enough in myself that this sort of thing doesn't bother me. It's meant to be comedy, and that's all. If it were trying to be correct, it wouldn't be funny to watch a bunch of guys that are socially average like today's geeks/gamers are. It's playing out stereotypes, and it does it in a way that's both endearing and funny to those who are comfortable with it. Just like any other joke out there, they can be taken negatively or positively. There will always be something offending someone, no matter how big or small the issue actually is.

The Big Bang Theory is simple American humour, no offense to Americans on here, it's just basic humour like most American sitcoms are. If you want something different, try Phoenix Nights, Mrs Brown or The League of Gentlemen (not to be confused with that god awful film The league of Extraordinary Gentlemen).

I honestly don't get how this show is that popular I mean like I've said I watched the earier seasons but when they started to try to hard and make it into a typical sitcom by adding the girl "counter parts" for two of their characters it just went to crap.

I mean lets be honest if you lived with someone like Sheldon, you'd probably be arrested for murdering him after 2 weeks he's that annoying. I watched one once and he did something like pick an object up in the flat and the laughter track went WILD, I was like "Really? But he just picked something up"

The problem with the story line (and the picture from the episode) is that in real life, there would be a pile of XB1s, but no PS4s... and, if there were any PS4s on the shelves, there would be 1 or 2 at the most. Certainly, not in the numbers shown! Notice how (I guess, to be fair??), they have the same amount of both systems on the shelves! (Well, it is a comedy!!)

Reading the comments makes me realize how differing the views of this show are. I know television shows vary with everyone's tastes, but I don't understand the hate for The Big Bang Theory. Anyone who uses the excuse that it's "making fun of nerds" obviously hasn't seen enough of the show.

They don't make fun of someone for being intelligent, liking video games, and being a Star Wars fan. The characters have other traits, too, that offer more characterization other than their interests that could be considered "nerdy". They actually focus on them as people and not the stereotypes viewers claim they are. To each their own, but I still think one needs a better reason to dislike the show other than that. Personally, I really like the show and am eager to see how this episode will play out.

By the by, anyone who says that he will pick the console whose company pays the most to CBS, please take your fanboyism related conspiracy theories elsewhere. They aren't welcome.

It is called "product placement" and it is used constantly to make easily influenced people buy products that either their favorite characters use or convince people that a product is more popular that is actually is. for example MS surface tablets, if you watch Primetime TV shows you would be under the impression that the Surface tablet is the only tablet in existence, EG: the way Sherlock Holmes in Elementary uses one constantly on the show. or that on the Big bang theory they only own an Xbox 360. or why the agents of Shield only Drive Lexus SUV's.

All I'm saying is that if you see a product in a tv show, someone is paying for that product to be there. If someone chooses one product over another in a tv show, Someone is paying for that to happen. and even though "Sheldon" couldn't choose

Wow how do so many people hate thins show, this is by far one if the best comedies out right now. But putting all you pathetic haters aside I predict he chooses X1, since from what I've seen nerds typically prefer Xbox over PlayStation

in all area's of comparison the PS4 should come on top but these reviewers are probably another hypocrites who get paid by microsoft in some way or another to make the poorly designed xbone seems as a good deal or even as a valid competitor to the PS4 the system with the better hardware,service offerings & above all GAMES.
