Here's my opinion on this game

Great fun, in short bursts. Can be completed in a few hours, but still worth the money. The controls are wonky, but just pretend the goat is a small four-wheel drive vehicle. I loved the music, I thought the wacky animations and graphics suited the game perfectly, and I hold farm-yard animal sims in high regards. Roll on Cow Simulator.

Buy it. I have been having great fun with it. Reviews are always from a critical standpoint. The bugs are hilarious and that is the point.. Who is criticalindiegamer.com? lol

Exactly, the game is tons of fun but you really can't take it seriously. If you love free roaming in games like saints row or gta this is your cup of tea.

I completely agree! I preordered it so I got early access and me and my sister had a blast with it. Plus it's got workshop capability, so modders can go crazy with it. People need to keep in mind that this was just a tech demo/fun demonstration Coffee Stain Studios did, it wasn't meant to be a full game for the public. The public REQUESTED it!

It's actually a lot of fun. How many games can you sprint across the street with a basket ball in your mouth flailing around bouncing off trucks then do a front flip off a trampoline and throw the ball at dancing dbags. As a goat? None other than goat simulator. The games a joke. Take it as one.

It's MEANT to be stupid. *Facepalm.* I've had alot of fun with this game. A game deserves a 1/10 when it's actually boring, and this game is far from boring. How dare they give it a lower score than Superman 64.

While I never normally care about people's particular scores in reviews (or reviews at all really), giving it a 1 out of 10 is the lowest score you can give a game, unless you operate with 0/10, but regardless of the latter point, 1/10 signifies that pretty much every aspect and feature of the game does not work and is absolutely horrible and so abysmal that it cannot be endured whatsoever.

I am the writer of the review & stand by my 1/10 score. Goat Simulator is a borderline non-functioning "game." It's broken in every facet and function. While some gamers may revel in such dysfunction and enjoy the "cleverness" of releasing such a travesty, a good game it does not make. I would say that any unfinished and buggy game would offer just as many high points (or low points depending on your perception) and "Youtube moments" as Goat Sim could.

As far as "not getting it" - Let's not confuse Coffee Stain studios with the second coming of Monty Python. They saw an interest in their badly coded Jam game and decided to release it as a lark. While some folks may find it humorous to pay $10 for an unfinished glitchy piece of trash (regardless if it's featuring a goat, chicken, or blue hedgehog), I do not.

I have no idea if Goat Simulator is good. I have no idea if the review or the site is good cos I never heard of it, (although thats changed now hasnt it.)

But dont submit a review to N4G and then show up in the comments disagreeing with each individual comment that doesnt agree with it. Its such a turnoff.

If you believe it the product, put it out there and let it stand on its own two feet to be judged by all that see it and can be bothered to read it. Much like game makers have to. Or in this case, four feet.

I suspect the people giving games like this 1/10 are people who think all games are comparitive to art. It's a joke, the whole reason it exists is just for some fun and for people to laugh at. A notion obviously a lot of people don't get.

CIG isn't the only site to call Goat Simulator out for what it is. You can claim that we don't get it but the sad truth is we do and we don't think its a joke worth $10.

They could have sold it for $2 and they had even said they would release it for a free at one point. The pricetag ruins the experience and this sort of attitude shouldn't be encouraged.
