Great for infamous: SS (thanks The_Infected :-)) and PS4!

Uncharted sold 695,304 according to VGchartz but how did Insiderp came up with the 1 million sold at launch total from their page. Hmmm?

Eonjay3668d ago

They said they sold 1 million through March 28

No_Limit3668d ago (Edited 3668d ago )

They also said previously that the game has 1 million preorder sold due to their contact with SCE.

http://insiderp.com/news-an...
Courtesy of our close amigo at SCE, as of March 18,2014, the game has 1 million pre-orders globally. This is the first time pre-orders for any next-gen game has reached a million before release.

Like for real do you really think SCE will give an unknown site that was created a few months ago in December the numbers and no other gaming outlets? I let you put 2 and 2 together.

Eonjay3668d ago (Edited 3668d ago )

@No_Limit:

Honestly who knows... the internet is a very interesting place with lots of claims, insiders, predictions, misunderstandings, and even an Xbox One that is secretly hiding 25 stacked GPUs.

Entertain yourself with the rumors, but only take the official press releases seriously.

VGChartz doesn't take digital into account. At least that's what I have heard.

NewMonday3668d ago (Edited 3668d ago )

@No_Limit
"according to VGchartz"

they have the same sources as Insiderp ..NON!

@PassiveAttack

they don't take real sales data into account, publishers and retail don't give them information, they just do polls and apply them to consoles in the market and then they get their magic numbers.

I think you mean "infamous" and not "Uncharted"

TitanFall is over 1.1m in week 2 according to the chart, really moving well (it was over 900k in week 1).

These are retail of course and don't include digital sales

@ Eonjay, It would be huge mistake to ue the first 2 days of a games sales compared to 1 week or 2 worth of sales. All games drop by a large degree, PSU is reporting 67% drop for Infamous (PSU being reputable, Insidedep being a sad hate site). All that being said, games like TF will spike again come Sep when MS triples the number of countries it sell in.

@cozemel, are you having trouble reading the chart provided in the post? It CLEARLY shows TF at 1.1m+

Here's the PSU article for your "delusions"

http://www.psu.com/a022910/...

@Scott, something would be very wromg if a game sold more in 13 countries than in 57.

@Scott #2, Last gen NA and Uk represented 53m 360 sales, say the other 9 countries take it to 60m, that leaves 1/3 more sales

@ Chris..., depends on the attach rate, after digital sales it could be 50%, so the answer to your question would be 800,000 based on last gen

GarrusVakarian3668d ago (Edited 3668d ago )

TF is doing well, but Infamous SS selling 695,304k in 2 days(it was released March 21st and this is from the week ending March 22nd) is unbelievable. I honestly would not have expected a singleplayer game to do this well.

Take all of these numbers with a grain of salt though, it is VGChartz after all.

Eonjay3668d ago

There are a few ways to look at it.

1. You have to be correct because at over a million units it has an attach rate of over 25% - even if some Xbox Ones are literally attached in the box :)
2. In comparison to Infamous:SS's two day/first week total, it is under-performing because it only sold 225k/day compared to SS's 350k/day.
3. This game is online only so I wouldn't be surprised if it has a ton of digital downloads.

georgeenoob3668d ago

Over 1 million copies of TF sold with 4 million X1's. Now THAT is impressive. Infamous selling around 1 million with 7 million PS4s is good too, but not as impressive.

cozomel3668d ago (Edited 3668d ago )

@axios

I said it before and i'll say it again, "delusion", its vgcharts and if you dont understand what that means then you're the one with comprehension problems, you're delusional man.

scott1823668d ago (Edited 3668d ago )

Look at how well Killzone SF sold and it had an even smaller install base.

shooters sell better, it's just how it goes. And third party always sells better on the PS4 worldwide regardless of the game since day 1.

I like that sales matter again for certain people though.

chrisarsenalsavart3668d ago

And how many more copies of TF MICROsOFT would have sold in Japan?

Lol

scott1823668d ago (Edited 3668d ago )

@Axios

"something would be very wromg if a game sold more in 13 countries than in 57."

Not if those 13 territories make up basically the entire bulk sales for games and systems for MS. The other territories were almost non existent for MS's overall sales figures last gen, could that be why they haven't considered them priority?

But even individual territories PS4 has better 3rd party sales... Look at MGS and Tomb Raider in the US. They look better and sell better on PS4.

GribbleGrunger3668d ago (Edited 3668d ago )

"Over 1 million copies of TF sold with 4 million X1's. Now THAT is impressive. Infamous selling around 1 million with 7 million PS4s is good too, but not as impressive."

@georgeenoob: I want you to relax for a moment. Sit back and digest what you've just written ... Is that long enough? Now contemplate on how quickly you accept 7 million PS4s sold when it suits your argument. Do you see what I mean? Surely you do. You've just learned your first lessen in honesty, and I'm sure you'll now completely accept the X1 is 3 million behind without question ...

@No_Limit
Some of us are stealth trolls and use backhanded language When talking of Sony.

Axios2
Titanfall is selling I don't think it will sell 1 million xbone consoles. Michael Pachter said 500,000 that sounds about right to me.
Why do the xbone fanBoys keep talking about 13 countries vs 57 countries. First off The xbone is being out sold by PS4 in each of the 13 countries That's the xbone fanBoys Are focused on. Number 2 Microsoft is not in 57 because there is a lack of demand in those countries for xbone. Microsoft has 900000 consoles sitting on selves in the USA and U.K. that is enough to supply the 57 countries. The PS4 is in limited supply but they are in 57 countries. The xbone is in full supply and is being discount buy $50-70 . But Microsoft can't supply 57 countries but xbone is over stocked and being discount in the USA and U.K
. I have a bridge to sell You xbone fanBoys Are so delusional it's scary.

player002
Hideo Kojima didn't gimp the xbone version of MGS5: Ground Zeroes . No the xbone hardware is gimped already . The xbone is weak hardware with Esram and a entry level Three year old GPU and slow ram.

Vgchartz is just guessing wait four hey official announcement from SONY , Microsoft or NPD
http://www.gamespot.com/art...

scott1823668d ago (Edited 3668d ago )

@Axios

Well, the fact is Playstation does much better in the non major territories than Xbox has by far. Plus Sony is starting to take back the major territories as well. I just don't see it making a difference for MS to release in other territories. I guess we will find out.

Akuma073668d ago

WHAT?! Really?!?!

So you're basically saying that Titanfall has seen a 90% decrease in sales in it's second week. WOW. That's NOT a good thing dude. It basically says most of it's sales are from die hard fanboys.

Compare that to Infamous' 67% decrease LOL

Anybody else notice the massive disparity of MGSV on the PS4 vs the XOne?

player0023668d ago (Edited 3668d ago )

yes unfortunately its true looks better on ps4 he gimped it no reason why it could not be 1080p 30 fps or 900p 60 fps smh

Knushwood Butt3668d ago

Yeah. That can be extended to include PS3/4 Vs 360/One sales.

Metal Gear has traditionally been a PlayStation game though.

1. inFAMOUS: Second Son (PS4) Sony Computer Entertainment, Action 695,304
2. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (PS4) Konami Digital Entertainment, Action 433,118
3. Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster (PS3) Square Enix, Role Playing 331,803
4. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (PS3)
Konami Digital Entertainment, Action
228,431
5. Titanfall (XOne) Electronic Arts, Shooter 208,439

For infamous, thats 347k/day for being onsale for only two days.
Also when all SKU's for Metal Gear are added together, it actually outsold Infamous according to this site.

BelkingOfSony3668d ago (Edited 3668d ago )

it's lolchartz, infamous obviously sold more, and titanfall obviously sold less.

Victory for PS4! PS4 world domination! Sold almost double what the xbox one sold!
PS4 is future and future is PS4! (i got the hatsune miku virus)

marloc_x3668d ago

you have some hatsune miku dripping..

frostypants3668d ago

I would hope that any reasonably hyped game launched across 4 platforms with a combined install base of over 170 million, would outsell a game released only on a brand new platform with an install base of just over 6 million.

G20WLY3668d ago (Edited 3668d ago )

Dat 500 PERCENT global PS4 software sales increase! @_@

Flamingweazel3668d ago

Sony dominates just by having more supply hit stores.

Usually most of those redemption card have an expiry date on them. If they expired all buyer did was buy recycled paper. And some of those codes are country locked to certain countries. I buy a card from the States I can't use it in Canada.
