Yea besides meta score I dont see how this is Xbox live catching up and is PS Plus only getting Tomb Raider on the PS3 this month dont we usually get two or three games a month not including vita. Like last month wasnt it Metro Last Light, Bioshock Infinite and DMC or am I mixing.

PlayStation Plus is a great deal for anyone who owns at least ONE of the supported systems (PS3, Vita, PS4), but it REALLY pays for itself in spades when you have two to all three platforms.

Myself, I've had it for a few months before the PS4 launched to use with my PS3 and claim up Vita games in the future hope I would get a Vita (and I am BTW when the slim hits the US). Just 3 months in I was dumbfounded why the hell I never got Plus sooner -- seriously 3 months with one system basically pays for the entire year in value that you receive and everything beyond that is just gravy.

It's sad that Xbox players are getting stiffed with bargain bin games that make you feel like you just received a re-gifted item that has already passed between three to four people in a vicious re-gifting cycle. It's not that what they are giving you is bad, just that it is SO cheap at this point that it disheartens the favor and makes it seem tawdry and thoughtless.

Microsoft can easily copy Sony's "rental" model by requiring you keep your Gold membership (as few Xbox owners will be dumping their Gold membership ANYWAY since it is required for damn near everything else) to keep the games accessible and offer much newer games. Microsoft probably DOESN'T follow this model in order to maximize what profits they already do receive for Gold memberships -- they've already had a taste of that revenue, why give it up now.

PS plus at one point had metro LL, Bioshock infinite, and payday 2 all at the same time. All of them valued at 40 or 50. PS plus on the ps4 isn't even that good yet, and it's already more than paid for itself. Then when you factor in the value you get with the ps3 and vita, it's unbeatable. Sorry, but xbl costs more, gives out fewer games, gives out cheaper games, doesn't have any other perks, and games with gold is only on one console vs three. PS+ is still a far better value.

So it's "damage control" to bring up a completely valid claim, yet not so for claiming most PS+ subscribers renew their subscriptions, so who cares anyway?...

Sounds to me that you are sick of hearing this because you can't argue against it, so you try to either downplay it, or up-play PS+, while never addressing the actual claim. Bringing up the "quality" of the games offered, is largely irrelevant and subjective, since it's ultimately different strokes for different folks.

Many talk about GWG offering games that everybody already played, yet I would argue that the new big hit releases, are the games everyone has played (or will,) and the less known games, like arcade titles for instance, are the games less people have been exposed to. Most of the games from GWG that I 1) haven't played prior, and 2) have enjoyed, have been such titles, such as Iron Brigade, Toy Soldiers, and Shoot Many Robots, while the bigger titles (regardless of age) have been games I either 1) already played (Halo 3, GoW, Crackdown) or 2) I have no interest in playing (AC2, RS:V, Sleeping Dogs.

99% of XBL users renew their subscriptions too, except in the case of GWG, they don't need to keep that subscription to play their games, and in the case of those who have a service like Gamefly, (like me) they essentially just made the free game aspect of PS+, obsolete.

LOL this article is a joke Gold is not even close. In the past 2 months I've downloaded Borderlands 2, Metro Last light, Binary Domain, Brothers:TO2S, Remember Me, Outlast,Dead Nation and countless discounted games like Tales of Xillia,and Ni No Kuni.

The 50$ fee just payed for itself with the first 3 games on my list and I could of had more if I didnt already own them on Disc (Bioshock).

Ps+ on the PS3 has been great. PS+ on PS4 is crap. I guess since you need PS+ to play online on PS4 there is no reason for Sony to offer full retail games on the PS4.

They can't just go giving away new 50 quid+ games on PS+, you;ll have to wait for another 2 or 3 months before AAA games start hitting it, I expect Killzone SF first because of the amount of trade ins it had.

Ps3+ has been amazing for about 2 years, getting AAA games less than a year after their release.

Well, MoB, I do agree that the console civilisation is pretty meh, but the civilisation series is well of higher quality than the Tomb Raider one. Civ is one of the greatest strategy games out. I know console gamers practically miss out on the genre but still.

What is Fable Anniversary, Zoo Tycoon, World o Tanks, Halo Spartan Assault, Lococycle, and Titanfall? All new releases and all exclusive to at least MS platforms. And all released in the last 6 months. For a 9 year old platform that's excellent.

Dungeon Defenders is a very good game as well. Most of the games the companies give are only worth $20 anyhow so dropping to $15 isn't bad.

World of tanks is a already dated F2P PC game, An every other title you listed besides Halo Spartan Assault is mediocre at best.

Like I said Dungeon Defenders has lots of content, But optimistic thinking towards these titles is what has MS still shelling us shit every month. I Download them every month mainly out of principle. I feel like paying for XBL since Halo 2 days on the original box, I'm getting a little bit of my money back. Shit sometimes I DL the games just to delete them so if I ever do get that bored I have them.

But if more people complained an didn't download these games period, MS would definitely bring better games to the table.

5x48,000,000=240,000,000 off of XBL a month. An that is for $4.95 month sub fee(Old Xbox Live Price). Which really is now $9.99.An I believe they have more then 48million XBL users. Realize they have overheads, an cost associated with running XBL an tons of people buy 3month or 12month prepaid cards which is cheaper. But that's a quarter of a billion dollars an way more with the price going up with the launch of the 360. So money for discounts on the store front should not be a problem.

We as consumers have just let MS get way out of hand, Sony has already followed suit with Steam on the digital discount front. An was able to bring those discounts to games with PS+. XBL needs to bring something similar, Because this argument always get brought up to many times which gives better free games. But people always forget having PS+ gives you instant discounts on just about everything in the store on top of free games.

When on the other hand we are paying almost $20 more for a yearly subscription, getting shit for free games, the discounts we are offered on a weekly basis are mostly hand picked shit that just doesn't sell or the next best thing has already replaced it.

Sorry if this sounds like a rant, Just feel like we need to do something as consumers to make MS change. If not they will just continue to milk us.

As of November PS+ covers three or six playstastion platforms, The PS3 Vita & PS4. Technically it's six when you factor in PS1 Minis & PSP titles, but whose counting anyway. If you see any still decking out a PSP, ask them if they have PS+.

I prefer GwG at the moment - because It's cheaper than PS+, and I get to keep the games. Which buying even second hand (for the games that have a physical format - obviously- in b4 "da digital"). Adds up to more than I paid. Doesn't mean I wouldn't ge PS+, or dislike it. I don't really care that they're not as recent. It always seems to be that it's mostly the people that don't have xbox(or whatever) who seem to care so deeply about these things. Why not just get on with your own thing, rather than obsess over what someone else is doing/has. No one else seems to feel the need to 'justify' themselves. The time spent trying to put others down, or justify your choice could be time spent gaming.

The Xbox One is a cash cow. Maybe it's good enough to deserve to be but not likely to the extent that it is in comparison to the PS4.
