Great, a game I bought last month, paid £11.99 for it, only played it for 20 minutes, it just didn't grab me (i'm not saying it's bad)

Same here. I tried to like it but, the 2D perspective made the game really, REALLY frustrating, forcing me to confront enemies.
Still creepy as hell though.

Yeah I just bought the game on sale a little while ago. Really pisses me off too because Sony said a few months ago that they were going to stop putting games on sale if they were planned to go free for PS+ soon. They do this all the time and it's really annoying.

Great game recommend playing it with headsets. The sound design is impressive for an indie game and does well in creating a creepy atmosphere.

I still haven't played Outlast, due to Red Dead Redemption being on sale for $5. Technically, $2.50 more than the GTAV pre-order related sale a few months back, but whatever, can't win them all.

I have fibre optic 100meg. I know its PSN bcause when i used to play on xbox it was fine. some of my friends have said the same. its laggy.

As do I. 105 down 20 up. If it was PSN, EVERYONE would have the same problem as you. That just isn't the case man. I've played some of the most demanding online console games and have had minimal problems with PSN. It hasn't been 100% reliable, but what is? Certainly not Live like many try to insinuate.

What do you mean your ping is 8.... 8ms to what ? To your router ? To the server farm in your local city ? To every peer server on PSN ?

PSN is just a service... think of it like steam.. it does not effect your connection in most online games since they generally are either p2p hosting..Meaning you connect directly to another player host (Think CoD) or to that game company dedicated servers (Think BF).

The issue is either with your own connection or your routing to the host server of that game...

You THINK you know...but you know nothing about everything, & everything about nothing.... I can guarantee you that it is either your internet, or the settings... I know sometimes you have to change particular settings in your modem & internet options to get get different results from different machines....Google it pal, & you'll find PS3 online gaming is pretty damn flawless for lag......Games like Warhawk, Resistance, etc, etc, never even had any lag compared to other games (yes even Xbox ones).....
But those were dedicated server games, so I digress, but fact is, PS3 is no worse for lag, than 360, & anyone that says different, has internet speed issues, modem setting problems, internet option incorrect settings.

I am in Australia, & we have notoriously sh1thouse, borderline 3rd world, overcharged internet....& even I have had a pretty flawless, lagless online experience with PS3 & 360 (although I mainly game on PS3, as I never used to pay for plus until PS4).
I remember trying to get my PS2 online, & I had to change a bunch of numbers around in my modem settings to get it working & optimized for use with PS2, so maybe that's your problem...As one of my mates preferred his 360, but his COD's kept disconnecting & having online issues, so he bought the PS3 versions instead... I tried to tell him that it was probably his modem settings, but he was a techo-retard beyond explanation.
It's easy though, as you can just search on Youtube, or google, best modem settings to optimize PS3 online play, & bam, you'll get 1000's of detailed explanations on what to do.

I too am getting tired of PS+ putting games on sale a few months down the road then what do you know, its now a free rental for them suckers who did not buy it. Makes me think that Sony does not want us to buy any games but wait for the PS+ rental release.
