Infamous on my VITA would be great

TomShoe3701d ago

Make it happen SP.

Infamous + Vita Slim = Sogood.jpg

Alexious3701d ago

Pretty sure it wouldn't be them doing it, though.

Especially if they have success with this one, they'll move onto a new IP for PS4 for sure.

Abash3701d ago

I'd like to see a different developer make an inFamous spin-off on the PS Vita.

"Pretty sure it wouldn't be them doing it, though."

Most likely it would be out sourced to a smaller studio specialized in the handhelds. My bet would be their sister studio (via Sly) Sanzaru as they already have a history with Vita games and ports.

As far as them looking to make new IPs, this is to be expected of both Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch as that is the reason Sony bought them. They have both proven they are willing to try new things and usually the new things they try are just as good or better than their proven works.

Sequels of good games aren't bad, in moderation. Too many sequels, too often can burn people out and water down a series (Call of Duty is the best example of this). By releasing 3-4 games slowly over an entire generation and trying something completely new with the next keeps things fresh and keeps the developer from getting stuck in a rut and releasing the same formula over and over again (Insomniac).

I feel like portable titles made from long-running franchises can never feel fatigued. The simple fact that you're playing them on a handheld makes them feel new and fresh. Sony should take these franchises that are being put on hold(GoW, KZ, Twisted Metal, Starhawk, Jak, R&C) and develop exclusive Vita games for them. It would do well to break the fatigue and build up some interest in them by pulling in potential fans from a system that is "lacking in games". By doing this they are benefiting both the Vita and PS3/4.

Vita needs more exclusives like Uncharted: GA and KZ: Mercenary were or PSP God of War games.
Not saying anything against the current catalogue of games, but we are missing some exclusives.
I'd love to see Gran Turismo on Vita as well.

ThatOneGuyThere3701d ago

a GT on Vita NEEDS to happen

Alexious3701d ago

Yes, but after all Sony only has a certain amount of internal studios. Either they trust some third party with it, or it's difficult with PS4 on the rise.

inFAMOUS Vita is perfect for a Kessler backstory...showing how the other Cole became Kessler and ends with him going back in time.

I could imagine it being like the first inFAMOUS but things would happen differently because it's a different timeline

At the end you would see the Beast show up and instead of fighting it you'd run with your family.

ThatOneGuyThere3701d ago

i plan on playing it on vita this month. remote play FTW.

It would be interesting to see if they can come up with something. Or return to Sly. :O That seems unlikely.

LAWSON723701d ago

A SOny IP on Vita? Sounds to good to be true, jk. Anyway are there even any big sony IPs coming to Vita

micx3701d ago

Nothing is known yet, I expect some reveal during E3, but for now it's pretty dry.

Inception3701d ago

@Lawson72

Why you seem surprised? Here, i gave you the list:

Uncharted - Golden Abyss
LBP
Killzone - Mercenary
Sly Cooper - Thieves in Time
Ratchet & Clank - Full Frontal Assault
Resistance - Burning Skies

Next coming are:
God of War 1 & 2
Gravity Rush 2
Dead Nation

New IP that have the potential to be big:
Soul Sacrifice
Freedom Wars
Tearaway

Nyromith3701d ago

I have a bad intuition that the next thing we're going to see from them is massive layoffs.

-Foxtrot3701d ago

I think they should make a new IP next then after that new IP they will make inFAMOUS 3 with Cole...I don't believe he's dead.

100%, locked 60fps and still look great all these years later, same with the expansion, definitely worth a look if people haven't played it yet, not the best games ever made but a good experience, hopefully a new infamous gets released

KwietStorm_BLM103d ago

Never was my favorite infamous, but it was definitely a graphics showcase early on PS4. Still plays well with the unlocked frame rate.

SDuck103d ago

Still remember getting hyped about this game nearing release. Funny because I never even got a PS4. Jumped from PS3 to PC so I never played it ahahaha

OmegaSoldati103d ago

Its a good game. But thats it. Congratulations you made the best choice. I dream to have a great PC one day.

Profchaos103d ago (Edited 103d ago )

Graphically It's a absolutely stunning game that still holds up today.

Didn't have all that much depth to it forcing you to play though twice for a platinum trophy a good and bad run it was a little disappointing how similar those were Delsin would be like I'm not doing that for you in a cutscene but the cutscene would play out and force you to do it anyway just as you would of in a good run

I did like the story however it got a lot of complaints back in the day people hated playing as Delsin instead of cole despite Coles story being wrapped up.

Overall though the map wasn't overly saturated with useless points of interest there was some collectibles and things to find but nothing compared to a Ubisoft game.

I think it was a good game if a little hollow I've played it through around 4 times now since it's so short.

Also it's DLC was great a full story expansion

I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.

banger88135d ago

That's amazing, Gamingbolt actually put all 15 games on the same page.

shinoff2183134d ago

I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.

persona4chie133d ago

There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.
