Last generation seen a total over over 160 million consoles sold across the 3 major consoles. That current figure for the ‘next-gen’ is currently sitting at just over 15 million. This means that less than 10% of gamers who owned a Wii, PS3 or Xbox 360 have one of the three new consoles. Of course, this doesn't mean doom and gloom for any of the consoles considering their short life span, but it does mean that pretty much all of the market is up for grabs and we shouldn’t be too concerned by how a console is performing just yet.

The latest from a resurgent Atari team, Lunar Lander Beyond touches down on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC.
you know why? because the PS3 and Xbox 360 is good enough for 90% of us.
no need to buy one now and would have been a bigger mistake to buy at launch, tbh I have one but tbh if I would recommend a time to buy the ps4 it would be with infamous and driveclub coming soon, infamous really has a next gen feel to it so its the best place to take the plunge.
But hey, supporting the industry right? How can we ask for top notch games without buying consoles.
I was pissed at devs not making games for current gen consoles because of its low market share, but gamers are to blame also they need to get moving and leave their last gen consoles behind.
I just have to ask... so what?
Unless you think Killzone Shadow Fall, Dead Rising 3, inFAMOUS Second Son or Killer Instinct are got to have titles, there isn't a reason to shell out $400+ dollars for a current gen console. I mean, most people that own an Xbox One or PS4 are either trendsetters (like myself), bought into the hype (people who said because the new consoles were super easy to developer for we wouldn't see a dry spell), people who happened to have the money at the time (easier to justify $400+ during the holidays than on March 15) or people who don't mind waiting because last gen consoles still have good games coming out and or several current gen games are also coming out for last gen consoles.
The only exception is the Wii U, since that has games (several solid ones at that and two heavy hitters coming out), though I think most people that don't have a Wii U are waiting for SSB / MK or rather spend the extra money for a console with a more positive outlook (zero offense to the Wii U, which I think is a nice console, but the outlook is pretty grim and most sites look at it as dead).
Im waiting to maybe a year or so ,i just need more games first.
