Call of Duty: Ghosts Will Go On Sale; Ready for Free Trial Soon

Beginning on Friday, March 7th, Call of Duty: Ghosts is set to allow for free-to-play action in multiplayer while the game goes on sale at an undisclosed price point.

The sale hasn't been confirmed to be only on Xbox, but the images are confirmed to be sourced from Xbox resources. It's possible that it could come to PlayStation, but nothing is solid as Activision hasn't confirmed this either direction.

That titanfall accessibility and non-top tier plyr requirement cuts both ways!

Its great for casuals...but greatly lessens the appeal to competitive

I don't think that it lessens the appeal any. Consider this:

When you play Call of Duty competitively, you have 7 people on your team rushing in [stratagem applied] with one anchor.

When you play Titanfall competitively, you can apply different stratagem, such as two players focusing down bots for consistent point gains while 4 players attack. Two players can choose to have Titans on follow, while two titans guard key locations, and two titans are piloted.

There is so much more depth available in Titanfall, while the shooter in its core is completely possible. I prefer Titanfall.

And there is much more depth in battlefield 4 with air land and sea battles and it requires everyone to play their role plus you can be mvp without a single kill!

Maybe you prefer the arcade fps style where you shoot the gun and it instantly hits instead of travel and drop in which case titanfall is for you!

The ease of access to the game is one of its stronger points. The ability of a player, of any skill level to jump into the game and contribute will allow everyone to have a better time, instead of a massive skill curve that will frustrate new players and veterans alike who are playing the game.

Going in and just killing the minions is still a huge contribution to the victory conditions and will help the game to be enjoyable for everyone.

I guess you guys love horde modes....me too! It works because its your group vs AI.

While I agree Titanfall is hellafun! It is greatly diminished by the AI mechanics. Could it still appeal to "elite" players? Sure....ramp up AI or make their kills not count towards a titan.

But that's not what's going to happen. This shooter will I believe destroy cod and become the new big thing in fps. But...it will become a scribes goto game. It will leave cod or bf4 with the heavies; and perhaps that's ok.

I personally found Titanfall fun for about 2hrs....then the AI became much more apparent to me as pellets in Pac man. I lost interest looking for human players. When I did find one and I got owned, I wanted to race back into tge fight! But I kept losing track amongst the pallets.

Fun game. Not convinced it'll captivate hardcore players for a year straight like cod does for some.

Me, I like play in many games. So its still cool.
