Nice, cause i am going to burn this game to the ground! Hurry March 11th!!!

I doubt this is even close to accurate, betas and even some demos like to have accelerated leveling so you get a better idea of how new mechanics, weapons etc work. Full release will likely, make you do more to earn weapons, extras, customizations, burn cards etc plus later levels usually require waaay more xp than early levels= it's gonna take alot longer than this calculation suggests to reach max level.

iceman13463705d ago (Edited 3705d ago )

i reached level 14 in 6 hours only

jamstorr863705d ago

Do u have a copy of the game? Beta was capped at level 14 which I reached in less than 3 hour. Prob just over 2 hour.

MorePowerOfGreen3705d ago

Yeah but usually beta's and demos have an accelerated leveling system altered from the retail game to give gamers a taste of the full game. I doubt you'll level up as fast as the beta in the retail game.

malokevi3705d ago

I think you got disagrees just for being you. Where I work, we always have accelerated leveling for our beta software. This was very obviously the case for the Titanfall beta.

Irishguy953705d ago (Edited 3705d ago )

Yeah but the first few ranks(an industry standard) go up quicker than the later ones. And it was a Beta

PotatoAsylum3705d ago

I didn't get to try out Titanfall yet (I don't have an Xbox One or a decent PC), but I think it's good that reaching the maximum level takes a decent chunk of time. You get the satisfaction of having to earn it, but thanks to Prestige the sense of progression won't stagnate. It's a nice balance.

Godz Kastro3705d ago

Poto, I agree.. well no better time to jump in. Hit me up if you get x1 version...

Well, it's not quite enough to make me buy an Xbox One. I live in Ireland so Kinect and the TV stuff isn't really there yet. If the next Halo is as good as those of the original trilogy, and Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break (I loved Alan Wake) are pretty good ... I'd be quite tempted. I haven't tried out the controller yet either (it would be cool if you could give a good honest opinion on it. I have Raynauds so even the 360 was a struggle sometimes. The closest I've gotten to comfort so far was the Dualshock 4, although the ridges on the analogues can hurt my left thumb sometimes. If they have kept the shape of the 360 controller, and put better triggers on it, I'd say I'll like it a lot). If the 360 port is good then I'll definitely get it.

"In essence, if it took you an hour of playtime to reach level 14 in Titanfall, it would take you 14.45 hours to reach level 15 the first time and 90.15 hours to reach the max level."

I don't understand this. 1 hour = level 14, then 13.45 hours for level 15. What happens in this game?

Makes no sense. What do you think?

I reached level 14 in 5 - 6 hours in the beta. Additionally, the better my games in Attrition and the challenges I completed made me level up very fast. There were many games where I leveled up a whole level in one match, then it took two matches when I hit level 7 or 8. At level 12 or 13, it took about 3 games of Attrition to level up.

Attrition never took more than 11 minutes. What do you think?

greenyboi3705d ago

I don't understand this either anyone care to explain??

Ace Killa 083705d ago

I can't add on to your idea of how long it will take. But I do want to add on that this article does not make sense and how can other people post

"I didn't get to try out Titanfall yet (I don't have an Xbox One or a decent PC), but I think it's good that reaching the maximum level takes a decent chunk of time. You get the satisfaction of having to earn it, but thanks to Prestige the sense of progression won't stagnate. It's a nice balance."

Or
"Nice, cause i am going to burn this game to the ground! Hurry March 11th!!!"

Because if these commenters understand the formula that 1 hour = lvl 14 then 13.45 hours to lvl 15 please elaborate.

BattleTorn3705d ago

I first thought that too. They mean it as, it'll 14x[hours-to-lvl14) to reach max level.

If it took you 5hours to get to lvl 14.

It should take approx. 80hours to reach max level.

corvusmd3705d ago

Another innovative aspect to this game that I like...now I just Ghosts had this same progression deal so that I can finish it before Titanfall drops(I'm OCD about getting max prestige for some reason...even long after it's no longer fun).

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

MadLad588d ago

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

Venoxn4g587d ago (Edited 587d ago )

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

An ode to Titanfall: The last twitch shooter I'll probably ever enjoy

Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."

Physical media. Unfortunately the way games are going these days game servers will eventually be shut down and you can stare at the menu and wish you could play the game again.

littletad868d ago

This is why reading is so important. Nothing to do with digital or physical media. The game, which is online only, is being delisted because of DDOS and other hacker attacks. The case got so bad that only six players in the world log on. For PC. Rather than fix it, they continued to sell the game, broken as it is, and only now just decided to call it quits. But please, go on thinking what you will.

Ethereal866d ago

I'm aware of the DDOS attacks and that this case is not typical. This game would eventually have it's servers shutdown regardless of the current situation so that is a moot point. My comment was in a general sense and that there are instances in which games can be preserved physically when official support ends.

Let's recap your first sentence. I said, "the way GAMES are going these days" indicating a broader stroke than just this game. I agree, reading IS important. I was simply stating the obvious downsides of the digital marketplaces and online only trends in games these days. I could even make the argument that the online only offering which has allowed hacker manipulation has impacted the preservation of this great game. My comment is valid in the general sense and thank you for your permission to continue to think what I will.
