Four new Persona Games coming to North America in 2014/2015

A while ago, Atlus had a countdown event in Japan which announced four new games in the Persona Series. Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth (3DS), Persona 4: Dancing All Night (VITA), Persona 4 Arena Ultimax (PS3/360) and last, but not least, the long awaited Persona 5 (PS3).

Awesome. Screw waiting for an EU release this time, I'm importing

SuperWeeb3711d ago

Persona 4 Arena was region locked, and P4AU could go down that route.
Nintendo devices are naturally region locked, and therefore PQ cannot be imported.

Meaning that the only games you could import to EU without importing the entire system are P5 and P4D. Though P5 is the only one that really hugely matters anyway.

Persona 5 and Dancing all night are the only two I'm interested in

They really spread them out. Sucks for Persona fans, but also is awesome for Persona fans.

I think it would be smart for them to find a way to get Persona 5 on PS4/Vita.

Well good thing I wasnt planning on getting rid of my PS3. Sony wasnt kidding about supporting it through 2015.

Out of 4 Persona games not one is coming to PS4. Why not Atlus ?

Alstor_H2O3711d ago

P5 was probably worked on for the PS3 for six years, so there's no point in scrapping all the work on the engine just to put it on the new system. Something very similar happened with P4; it was released two years for the PS2 two years after the PS3 went on sale.

uh because Japanese developers don't switch generation early.

Inception3710d ago

Persona 6 maybe but not Persona 4: Arena U, Persona Q, Dancing All Night, and 5. Those four games already in developement for years, especially Persona 5.

Sea of stars while seeming pretty good so far doesn't belong in the top rpg discussion. There's way better ones. I'd tell them to play star ocean 2. One of the best non turn based rpgs ever. It has everything.

And if the list is limited to just turn-based RPGs, I can think of better ones to add to this list. You have the Dragon Quest series, the Trails series…Persona 5 Royale is on the list but why limit it to just that one? P3 and P4 were great as well.

The Legend of Dragoon, Legend of Legaia, or the Shadow Hearts games has decent enjoyable turn based combat system.

Would be plus+1 more if they'd settle the fk down and stop re releasing it. I'm waiting on the definitive one over here

BrainSyphoned306d ago

It's ok, I bought 4 to your zero, they don't need your pity purchase. Every version was definitive and has their own perks.
