Gameondaily discusses the latest NPD figures suggesting that the PS4 has outsold the Xbox One in the USA by almost 2-to-1 and discusses whether the Xbox One can fight back.
It also GTA 5 DLC and whether its too late for GTA online.
The GTA 5 Agent Trevor DLC episode could have been a real treat for fans on PlayStation and Xbox, before it was scrubbed sometime before 2017.
With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.
I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.
Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder
One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
Grand Theft Auto V was released on PC on the 14th of April 2015. That means the game will be nine years old in four days, and it’s still among the most-played titles on Steam. With a 24-hour peak of 145K players, it’s as popular as Baldur’s Gate 3, Apex: Legends, and Destiny 2.
The freedom to explore large areas, approach objectives in multiple ways, and stumble across amusing distractions will always be an excellent format for video games, but some do it better than others. To celebrate the formula and parse the best from the best, have a look at the best open-world games of all time so far.
PS4 is starting to sell more in the US alone than Xone sells in the entire world.
MS needs to make live more like Plus or offer some other value proposition.
its too late for MS to do anything now damage has been done since E3.
It's only three months in, we all knew that PS4 was gonna take an early lead...to be honest I thought it would be worse. The $100 less price point is the main issue. However, all the early graphic jumpers have bought their console already, things will calm down, and when Titanfall and Halo release (mostly next Christmas) I think we will see a big jump in XB1 sales. I give it a year from launch till things start to even out. Contrary to what many WANT to believe, MS didn't become so successful because they are stupid. They will use their pockets and ideas to make XB1 appeal to more people, they've already started by doing it the right way and investing in AAA exclusive after AAA exclusive...it'll probably work out much the same way as last gen in the end. Either way, acting like MS is in trouble is disingenuous. Just because PS4 is doing really well, doesn't mean that XB1 isn't either, they are BOTH doing much better than last gen at this point.
Sony learned from it's mistakes, but it appears that Microsoft hasn't and that's why they're getting trounced on their home turf.
I think Xbox One can recover but they will have to move quickly and they will have to take some drastic measures before things get too out of hand. By the end of March and the Japan launch, PS4 will possibly have sold twice as many Xbox One's Globally which puts XOne at a huge disadvantage with 3rd parties which is their bread and butter. They need to remove the Kinect and drop the price before the gap gets too wide. I know it's still early in the consoles life, and could be embarrassing for Microsoft, but if they wait too long the gap will only keep growing larger eventually beyond repair.
