There is still lot of problem with developing games on XO for sure but certainly it is not a weak machine. Ryse is still best looking game on any of the consoles and it is confirmed in IGN , GAMESPOT and tons of other reviews and by developers from different companies. If game like ryse which looks sometimes like a damn movie, can run fine on such hardware and then a game that looks last gen is struggling with 720p then there is certainly problem with dev tools for 3rd party etc. You simply can not deny what Ryse pulls off. Go play it, take it as a fact of what console is capable of. All we can do is wait till tools mature.

Build yourself a nice PC, friend. Whether from scratch or finding a decent refurb on a deal site (Woot is good for that) and slapping in some better hardware, you'll get the most bang for your buck in terms of performance, versus a console.

I love my consoles dearly, but if you want power and performance, PC is the best route.

Well said, but the problem there is you better be willing to shell out $900+. It would take at least $650 to build a PC that merely matches the PS4 specs/capabilities, and that's with bargain bin parts (crappy case/keyboard/controller/etc.) and before you pay for Windows (another $100). But yeah, if money is no object, go PC and get high-end everything.

Games on PS4 are going to mostly be 1080p and 30fps, while games on the XB1 will mostly be 720p or 900p and 30fps.

i have both consoles xboxone resolution is not looking up. idk how they plan to sell their console to those who clearly see ps4 has the better hardware. i still play my xboxone more mainly the games right now and the titanfall beta and most of my friends have one too. its gonna be hard not to wanna get most of my multiplat games on ps4, while the resolution does make a difference it doesn't make a big one on bf4 they pretty much look the same. so if that applies to the upcoming games it won't be a night and day difference

lol everyone on both sides of this argument needs to calm the fuck down about 1080p. I've never quit a game because the graphics weren't quite good enough, but if the game lags online I'm done.

Every game on both consoles should be 1080p,(I think we all agree here) and by the end of this gen every game will be 1080p on both consoles. Until then I'll enjoy my 20ms ping to the Microsoft Azure servers on my Titanfall Multiplayer matches.

If Microsoft did shit the bed and this is their last console that's fine. I looked at both consoles and picked the one I liked best without letting fanboy mentality creep in.

I haven't bought my PS4 yet but a lot of people in my office have and they haven't touched their PS4 since killzone got old around December. Meanwhile I'm on Forza, Dead Rising 3 and the Titanfall Beta, and they are at my house just to watch me play them!

Are there any good exclusive shooters coming out for Ps4 this year? That's probably when I'll buy mine.

I will only comment once on this pointless debate.

Since the majority of the posters here have supreme vision to easily see the difference between a 1080P and a 720- 900P upscaled to 1080p moving image (personally the only way I do it is via Netflix when the resolution digits change on my screen).
I can only bless theses posters and envy them.

This is what I am saying. I play mainly on either my Samsung 47 inch or my more intimate game room set up with 3 Sony 3D Displays and can't tell the difference in 1080P vs. the 900P or 720P. I am just glad that I won't live or die on these small things that most of the Fan boys are eating up. There is more to life than agreeing with 100 or so people saying the same thing.

Ok all bs aside I cant help but feel bad for the xbox team, I mean they can only do so much with what they have, and with the board breathing down their necks it must be a very stressful place to work at right now, Penello and team have their work cut out. That's all you read or see is a bunch of teenage or otherwise Basement dwellers high fiving and commenting in the hundreds behind each other about 1080P. Yet that is not the definition of gaming. Its just a point in which you guys are hanging your panties and bras on. I get it Sony has faster memory, better hardware and can render at 1080P. I just have to ask is that the only thing that makes you happy or enjoy gaming. Honestly what were you doing a year ago if not enjoying games that were sub HD as you like to point out.

Let me be clear. I OWN ALL systems with the exception of the Wii U. I enjoy them all. I enjoy the Xbox One the most because of the environment of Xbox Live seems more open and friendlier. I think with the PS4 Camera of all things it has opened PS+ open a great deal.

Back to what annoys me about the resolution crap. Its just idiots who have to make statement after statement after statement saying the same thing. Is it true that the PS4 is lacking in engaging titles and that's why Fan boys stay on blogs and sites in this type of behavior. I for sure am getting back to Titan Fall Beta and playing more Dead Rising 3, Ryse and NBA2K14. The games still look great to me and I can hardly tell the difference when I play Killzone 4 or Ryse. Last thing and I am off. If 1080P is the only reason to play games then there are quite a few PS4 games that are not hitting full 1080P HD.... Just wanted to say that.

It's not better on ps4 because unlike the xb1 and pc versions of the game, the ps4 version has no save importing. Meaning that the world state of the ps4 version will ALWAYS be the same. I'd trade save importing and dynamic world states based on player decisions over a slightly higher resolution any day.

Has anyone heard anything about some rumored difference between game resolution on PS4 and Xbox One? I've heard something about PS4 games being higher resolution than Xbox One games but I've been scouring N4G for articles about this fiasco and I just can't seem to find any information whatsoever.

I have a PS4 and although it seems that resolutions on the PS4 are better I would rather have same res as on the xbone but 60FPS.
