Is there anything wrong with games imitating other games?
When a game released exclusively digitally disappears from distribution, it becomes impossible to play it legally. Actually, quite a few gems have disappeared in this manner, with the legendary P.T. being just the beginning of the story.
Nice message and physical should always be supported, but I am not supporting this article being set across like nine pages.
Using Overwatch Workshop, Thriver9 has created an Overwatch rendition of the popular Flappy Bird game.
FlappyBird, one of the most infamous games in recent history is still a game that’s being played nowadays. The newest software update to iPhone’s Operative System will be incompatible with Flappybird.
Its a 32bit app. iOS 11 is only compatible with 64bit apps.
App developers have been informed for the last 2 years that they need to update their apps to avoid this problem.
Customeers have been made aware with every new firmware update but no one reads patch notes.

I enjoyed Cat Mario and Unfair Mario, so I have no problem with duplicates. I DO have a LARGE problem with that disgusting sperm duplicate of Flappy Bird.

Absolutely nothing is wrong with games imitating other games, but there are two key reasons why this game and the related ones get so much hate.
1) People or at least I am sick of hearing about Flappy Bird. I am still disgusted that the "journalists" decide to cover this game, since it shows how many sheep we have writing for various media outlets. Unless you're blind to the world around you, the ONE and ONLY reason why this game is being covered, is because a tips article hit an unthinkable 1,000+ degrees on N4G. Thats it. And, much like trying to bottle lightning, all these sites write articles featuring Flappy Bird in hopes of getting high degrees, even though most of the comments mention how stupid the game is, these articles are or something else along these lines.
2) In the case of mobile game clones, we typically see stuff that is closer to plagiarism than imitation. For games like Angry Birds, you see things like Annoyed Birds, Mad Fish, Pissed Gophers, Angry Rabbits and other titles that try to shamelessly cash in on the idea. This is completely unlike say the "Monster Hunter" clones out there, which really share concepts and ideas that are prevalent in Monster Hunter. By this I mean, missions, ranking, collecting monster parts, various weapon types, large monsters, etc. This form of imitation is a lot closer to what you would see in a standardized genre, which share similarities and might copy from one another, but still ultimately stand on their own (in most cases).
* Candy Crush is an exception, since the trademark thing was both comical and crazy at the same time. With this being said, Candy Crush Saga and their similar games have never gotten the same level of press / buzz as Flappy Bird did, which is the key different and what makes the choice to do so shameful.
