AE Games Is Real- First eShop title "Mad Men Football" announced

With AE Games talking down 3rd party developers for poor decisions in terms of game porting and logic, people thought AE Games was a hoax. Rumors of it being trolls or fanboys were all around. Today, AE Games themselves addresses the hoax rumors by announcing their first indie title called Mad Men Football.

AE Games, EA Games?!?!?!?

MadMen Football, MadDen Football?!?!?

Interesting.

I mean it may still be real, but then i think they were just talking mess about 3rd parties just to drum up support and make a name for themselves.

They are the opposite of EA.

If they are successful from here on.

They will replace EA.

That bold for me to say.

uptownsoul3720d ago

@OtakuDJK1NG Opposite of EA? Yeah, AE's letters are the opposite of EA. Listen, i don't agree with most of EA's business practices but AE Games could never over take Madden football with Mad Men football. People want the players and teams they see on sunday in their games. 2K tried to make a football game with Hall of Famers and ex-Pro Bowlers and didn't do well. I don't doubt that if (and i do mean IF) this is a real eShop game, it will do good (as far as cost to benefit ratio). But it will never take over EA's Madden unless it can get the real players and real team names.

Nintendo are on a roll with the support for indie development!

Dunban673721d ago

Still think it is a hoax or someone's very wishful thinking

Don t know how he can produce a game if he so upset by 3rd party dev s business decisions that have nothing to do w him developing a game for the Wii U or any other console

LOL_WUT3721d ago (Edited 3721d ago )

Yea an eShop title will really change things... ;)

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory3721d ago (Edited 3721d ago )

Oh so you expect a brand new game company to have billions or millions of dollars to make a Full Retail game for their first game.

Why is every comment in their comment section from the same guy? :/

Looks like the person who set up the Disqus system on the website didn't realize it would log someone in automatically when leaving anonymous comments. The poor idiot probably doesn't even realize almost every single comment shows his username.

The Nintendo Switch is potentially nearing its lifespan, and several Wii U games haven't found their way over as ports yet.

I think it's better to leave games like AC: Amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash forgotten on the Wii U. Best case, they are mediocre games; worse case, they are very bad. It was a dark time for the Wii U, and the first only exists to sell Amiibo cards, whereas the second was put together in a couple of months with a shoestring budget, and it shows.

The rest of the list does have some really cool games, though. I would love to see a remake of Star Fox Zero with decent controls, and Xenoblade X doesn't require that much modification to work.

How would XCX work without dual screens functionality?

Cacabunga3d ago

Same as Paper Mario color splash. One of the best wiiu games and getting even better with dual screen. Same reason why i prefer Splatoon 1

This article leaves out Nintendo's most controversial game to date devils Third.
I personally found the cover system really fun in that one compared to at the time most fps games completely lacking one.

Stevonidas3d ago

Devil's Third is HIGHLY underrated.

They should remake Starfox to the switch 2. Very beautiful game during gamecube days.

Kirby is always ignored or forgotten by people, so good to see it mentioned here.
Play Kirby Canvas Curse on DS, and then play Rainbow Curse on Wii U, they're really fun and unique 'platformers' without any actual jumping.
