Hardcore Gamer: When the shocking news broke that Flappy Bird would be removed from the app store in just two days, the collective gaming world broke out in tears. Sad to see someone thought they could get that much for this game...

HappyWithOneBubble3720d ago

Fake bids. No body dumb enough to pay that.

BitbyDeath3720d ago (Edited 3720d ago )

It was earning $54,000 a day.
$90,000 is cheap.

Edit: Just saw someone say below it isn't to own the game. WTH?

deadleaf983720d ago

Troll bids, just like that NES cart that was gonna sell for 100k.

Jailbreak+Torrent=free Flappy Birds for all

iGAM3R-VIII3720d ago

Just saw another post on N4G with another sale of a phone with flappy bird pre installed. I guess I should sell my iPod for 40k and then yea. Not a bad idea.

SilentNegotiator3720d ago

There are a bunch of other listings with ZERO bids, so obviously this is just trolls.

Thought it was $90,000 to buy the ip, now that would have been super cheap

admiralvic3720d ago

I did too, but quickly realized it was not and edited my post. ^^;;

NeoTribe3720d ago

Why not? You realise it was making 50k a day roughly right?

LogicLee3720d ago

I'd pay double that. I can't leave my score at 6.

sourav933720d ago

Can you not continue playing if you had downloaded it before it was taken down? I can still play it on android. Dunno about iOS.

Downserj3720d ago

Though you're joking about really paying that, I do think it's funny how stupid people can be that would pay anywhere near that much money.

Millions of people probably downloaded that game when it was available, and we are still able to play it whenever we want.

Even if you do lose it somehow, or didn't get it and want to see what all the fuss was about, there are tons of other free clones to download instead... and surely more to come now.

If you still want the original Flappy Bird, for android at least, I'm sure there will be an .apk file put up on the internet for those who want to look.

iiorestesii3720d ago

No worries. A six is average. It could be worse.

ziggurcat3720d ago

There is seriously something wrong with people if they're willing to spend that much on a cellphone game.

Prototype_79L3720d ago

I dont understand the hype around this cr@ppy game, Jetpack Joyride has a much more to offer, the concept is the same, better graphics, upgrades, missions, ftp.

LightningMokey3720d ago

Cosidering he made 50K a day... id say thats more than fair. If I had that much id buy it. And ive never played it.

admiralvic3720d ago

It isn't for the IP, but a phone with the game on it.

Meet the victims of digital distribution – games you can't buy anymore

When a game released exclusively digitally disappears from distribution, it becomes impossible to play it legally. Actually, quite a few gems have disappeared in this manner, with the legendary P.T. being just the beginning of the story.

I heard FlappyBird will be only available for the iOS user on the iPhoneX

Fullmetalevolust2400d ago

well, that's just criminal, hehe.

Zjet2400d ago

Its a 32bit app. iOS 11 is only compatible with 64bit apps.

App developers have been informed for the last 2 years that they need to update their apps to avoid this problem.

Customeers have been made aware with every new firmware update but no one reads patch notes.
