Normal combo: O, O, O, O, O, O
Down combo: O, O, O, down, O, O, O
Up combo: O, O, O, up, O, O, O
Air combo: O, O, O, jump, O, O, O

In other words, taco bell meat has more depth than Naruto Storm Revolution.

While I agree the game is shallow, it's not because of those reasons

The game is built around movement and controlling the flow of the battle. Not combo complexity. It's built around subs and support along with ninjutsu type and awakening. One glance at the game tells you it doesn't follow standard fighting games

Still the ps2 serie from the same CC2 doesnt follow regular fighting game template , and still was spatial movement based , yet retained lots of depth and variety .

That the new serie moves around on a full 3d plane (and even that it's still on a leveled flat horizontal plane ) , doesnt explain the the poor variety in moves , ougis and combos .

While they somewhat break the mold every 1.5-2 narutimate games , they purposely get stuck and react by milking stuff .

They didnt even need to innovate , adding more beyond more skins of existing characters , and whatever few new chars appears each arc , would do wonders , and they dont do that .

There is a huge wealth and variety of moves available for most characters of the serie , that alone would breath life into shallow and simplistic O, O, O, down, O, O, O type combos ... and yet they dont use it

It aint even because of balance , they keep having very little balance , and only try fixing stuff that are way too outlandish between sequels .

While definitively talented , their saving grace is that the only competiting comes from themselves on games like Jojo , and maybe J Victory stars ....

The rest of the anime based fighters from Namco , sega and Konami being horrible and mediocre at best (looking at you saint seiya and dbz)

Snap Play: Naruto Shippuden UNSR - Episode 01

Dattebayo!

Frank (@FrankInglese) and Kane (@KaneBugeja) jump back only slightly into the past to, once again, try their hand at the latest "Naruto" fighting video game "Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution" or "UNSR", for short.

The boys discover that twenty five minutes is the perfect length for a YouTube gameplay video and decide that, no matter what, they intend to end at that point...no matter what they're in the middle of.

Follow the duo, once again, as they try proving themselves the Ninjas they've always believed they were...too bad they just aren't that good.

Huge thanks to Bandai Namco Games who provided us with the review copy we used to record this video.
