So it didn't even sell that well on consoles, 12 million+ of the 15 million come from PC

PSN-JeRzYzFyNeSt3729d ago

well it did come out a yr later thats whats happens. Plus i never bought a diablo or even thought of buying one until it came to console i played the PS3 demo and loved it i just been holding out for the PS4 version.. I'm sure thats what blizzard set out to do.. broaden its audience with the console

now when Diablo 4 comes out it will launch together on PS4,X1, and PC then we can talk

king_george3728d ago

I've never played the diablo games before. Do u need to play the earlier games to understand 3?

"now when Diablo 4 comes out it will launch together on PS4,X1, and PC then we can talk"

I'm pretty sure we gotta wait like 15 years for a Diablo 4.

@king_george. Nope, I never played the first two, and didn't feel lost at all. Definitely one of my favorite gaming experiences in the last few years, and that was on console. If you have a PS4, wait a bit so you can get the Ultimate Evil edition, with the upcoming expansion. I played on 360, but I'll probably grab t the PS4 version myself as well.

@ gamertk421

Thanks man :)

I was gunna get it on my ps3 but i guess i should wait for the ps4 version then huh? Will do :)

We live in today where 3 million in sales is

"didn't even sell that well"

I'm done...

In other news, i'm super stoked to get this on PS4 soon!

add me on PSN: Jerzyzfynest if you getting diablo on PS4

the more ppl the better especially with the cool features where the enemy travels through your friends list

- Released a year later on consoles
- First 2 games in the franchise were PC-only
- There aren't a lot of dungeon crawlers on console, because they're typically a M/KB genre (though reviews of this game indicate D3 was a better experience on consoles)
- You suck at trolling... we all know you're just a PC elitest.

MadLad3728d ago

Well, the original was released on the original PlayStation as well, to be fair. It is very much seen as a PC series up to this point though.

Console Diablo III is awesome!

I can't wait for Diablo III: UEE on PS4.

Gamesgbkiller3728d ago

Played the game on PS3 and I really enjoyed it.

I wish i waited for the PS4 version to play the DLC.

MasterCornholio3728d ago

I want this on PS4 but I hate waiting so long to play it.

:(

cabbitwithscissors3728d ago

Didn't really sell that well did they? Perhaps it's due to their f**k up with their dumb cash shop implemented in to the game in the first place.

MadLad3728d ago

That's true of the PC version, though they are stopping that if I remember correctly. He was speaking for the console versions, however.

The Greatest Video Game Comeback Stories in Gaming History

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

thorstein84d ago

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

shinoff218384d ago

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.

Diablo III - Still a Huge Draw in the Face of Diablo IV

Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.

Palitera393d ago

Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?

kevco33393d ago

Heh, yeah. There's no comparison in here! Its a commentary on how III is still very playable over a decade later.

Diablo III Season 28 Brings a New Use for the Staff of Herding

Diablo III: Season 28 brings with it the Altar of Rites, an altar full of unlockable bonuses and potions that will require the gathering of tons of resources. One of things needed is the Staff of Herding, which also unlocks the famous Cow Level known as Whimsyshire. Here's how to craft that staff, for those that either have forgotten, or have never completed it.
